@bluehealer
Synecdoche, New York is one of my all time favorite films. I watched it again recently and it helped me get out of a slump I’ve been in the past year. It accomplishes things that not a lot of films have done for me before: Presents a unique opportunity for film analysis and made me feel not so alone.Â

“Unhappy” is a track we never quite got to finalize. Maybe it will be a real thing in the future.Â

Top 10 Music (2016)
1 Dj Boring - Winona
I was pretty late to the party on this song but once I heard it I found myself re energized about this style of music again. Particularly that low end “swipe” at the end of each measure caught me off guard.Â
2 Aphex Twin - CHEETAHT2 [Ld spectrum]
Pulsating bass and unearthed shitty late 80′s synth sounds perfectly executed by Richard D James
3 Betonkust & Palmbomen II - 24X33
Nice lo fi feeling on this one that I like and beat heavy!
4 D. Tiffany - Green-T
A mix of the detuned chords, playful 303 and snappy percussion is something I’ll always be a sucker for.Â
5 Frank Ocean - Nights
This song/album will probably make most peoples lists this year and rightfully so. It took me a long time to finally listen to the record (blonde) but once I did I understood why people were so drawn to it. Honestly it broke my heart all over again.Â
6 SFV Acid - CG Funk
I’ve been following this artist closely for years now and he has never disappointed me. Coming back from tragically having all his gear stolen in canada, its really nice hearing new stuff and it excites me about future music from this artist.Â
7 A Tribe Called Quest - Kids...
All year I was desperately trying to rebuild my relationship with hip hop in general. The genre has been so important to me for longer than I can remember. The entire album is a blessing.Â
8 JĂłhann JĂłhannsson - Arrival
From one of my favorite movies this year. Mysterious and chilling sounds that drew a very emotional response from me. Excited to hear this artists work on the new Blade Runner.Â
9 MF Doom & Madlib - Avalanche
A blend of Dooms unique and left field flow with madlibs broken-beat soulful production creates a sound that hopefully we get more of in the coming year.Â
10 Mr. Oizo - All Wet (feat. Siriusmo)
Taken from my second favorite album of the year. This song finally sees the collaboration between quentin and siriusmo that had been a long time coming.
A pretty slow moving/ draining year for most but we at least got some decent music and movies out of it. Lets try to keep our heads up this next one!
