So today I release my first “country” album. Enormous thanks are due to the amazing Sue Smallwood for her bass playing and superb artwork. In particular the map! Thanks also to John Holmes for cowriting Retreat. People don’t seem to ask the “is it country?” as much as they ask the question “is it jazz?”, so let’s say it is country. Of a sort. Yee-haw!

Last day at the BBC (Mervyn Peake)

Today is my last day at the BBC. I have worked at the BBC for 36 years. Curiously, right now I can’t think of much to say.
