My idea
I have read of several books that hit the market and fans take the story line to crazy places the author never intended. Novels have always been a one sided operation. A person has an idea, writes it out, and gives it to people to read. The reader has nothing to do with the story itself, but we get so involved. While reading, that world becomes ours. We talk to the characters, we get invested in who they are and what they do. We feel the pain of loss and the happiness of joy. Why can't we be a part of the process? This is an experiment. I want to write an entire book with the interaction of those that want to read it.
So I decided that's what I'm going to do. I'm going to write one chapter and then get feedback by those willing to read it. Post comments about what you think should happen in the next chapter. It can be big or small. "describe the scenery of the __" or "so and so dies". I will not take every idea presented (otherwise life would be too hectic) but I will consider all opinions and choose the one that I think I can write into the story.
Together, let's see where this goes :)
