I finally put my Transformers collection on display!

(Also if you have already seen these pictures it's because I also posted them on my MLP blog, @heckyeahponyscans lol. Long story short, my laptop autologs me into my Transformers blog and my phone autologs me into my pony blog, so it's easier to post phone pics to my pony blog. Then I download them and post them to my TF blog.)

I used Uline cardboard boxes covered in metallic wrapping paper as risers!

I was digging out some childhood toys to display including my Pound Puppies! The box came with the adult Pound Puppy.

Most people who are into toys know that Cabbage Patch Kids were huge the year they debuted in the 80s, that parents were fighting for them in the stores, but I don't see Pound Puppies mentioned much. It seems to have been easier to acquire them, no fisticuffs necessary, but they were INSANELY popular. Looking at them now, they clearly drew inspiration from the CPKs', having soft-sculpted fabric bodies and being "adopted", just like CPK dolls! (Although Pound Puppies were made by a different company, Tonka.)

The price tag tells the story of the Pound Puppies' popularity: $19.99 USD in 1985, the equivalent of $63 in 2026.

I had five Pound Puppies and one Pound Purry (the cat version) as a kid. They were my favorite toy after My Little Ponies. :)

Valid fear!! But my first thought was "Are they trying to make him like Jack the Ripper?" Not that anyone knows what Jack the Ripper actually looks like, but didn't he live in England in the time of top hats? And hook = ripping? Maybe?

WHEEEW, it's been a bit since I posted a chapter . . . because I was busy putting together my ~pony room~ for my My Little Pony collection! :D I'll post pictures of it soon, but in the meantime here's a new chapter of New Blood! One of the things that gets me about Pokemon Black / White is the Bad Guy Team gives a little speech in the town square about how Pokemon are exploited and abused by being held captive, and instead of a comeback like "Hey hey hey, just because SOME Pokemon trainers are abusive doesn't mean everyone is", the townsfolk instead gawp and are like "Whaaaaat? Could that be? Could Pokemon be abused?" as though they've never heard of the concept.

Were these people in a coma while Team Rocket was exploiting, poaching, and trafficking Pokemon, and of course killing Cubone's mother? Wait until they hear about how Charmander's original trainer left it in the rain to die (and then laughed about it) in the anime.

Ali Lightfoot is streaming!

By the time you are reading this/I have finished writing this he probably won't be, but he's hanging out and answering questions.

Some random things I've noted, some of which are just about Galvatron because that's obviously what I'm going to ask about:

Galvatron's fangs are dragon fangs first, then vampire, and he was always supposed to have them (even though they were missed in prior episodes)

All program numbers are references to something (sometimes to what the program's about, tf references, etc.)

The thing that Galvatron got sucked into is a "Black Level program" and is a mechanic we haven't seen yet (what could it mean???)

Ali feels like he could do maybe 5 seasons based on the amount of story he has written (obviously subject to the Hasbro overlords, though)

Season 2 ep. 1 will drop on August 8 (potentially, subject to change)

Snarl's anime persona wasn't particularly for any specific reason, they wanted to make him just feel like he was put "in the wrong world" with his edgy tone against the comedy

After Pharma and Ratchet's first doomed attempt at sexy pet-play they give it another go, this time with Pharma as the pet, and Ratchet is like "This time we are TALKING about what we're doing first."

So they start going back and forth with rules and suggestions, and Pharma's suggestions start normally enough, like "yeah I can wear a collar" and "what about a comfortable pet bed." He seems mildly confused whenever Ratchet suggests anything actually sexy and Ratchet is thinking "Maybe it's more about comfort than sex for him or something, I guess that's fine." Like he's mildly disappointed but oh well, maybe this will still be fun.

But as they keep going Pharma's, uh, vision for the RP gets more and more bleak, he's like "And then I start going off my food."

"And then you have to take me to the vet."

"The vet tells you the tumor is operable but you're a poor med student so you can't afford it. (I know we don't have a third person for the roleplay but you can just pretend the vet is comming you.)"

"Then you have to euthanize me and you cry a lot--"

Before Pharma can suggest that the next part of the roleplay is Ratchet actually burying him in an actual grave, Ratchet is like "Pharma, have you ever owned a pet? A real pet, not pretend?" And Pharma's like "Hm? Once, a long time ago. Why do you ask?"

And Ratchet's like "I feel like you have some unresolved feelings" and Pharma's like "About what? Ratchet, you are talking crazy."

And Ratchet's like "Uh huh. I have a new idea for a roleplay."

Anyway, their next roleplay turns out to be "Ratchet schedules therapy for Pharma and reads magazines in the waiting room while Pharma sobs out his feelings out in Rung's office."

Guys, I started playing Daggerfall again, aka the second The Elder Scrolls game (from the late 90s) and I had one of the most harrowing gaming experiences of my life.

I joined the Knights of the Dragon but did not have enough money to buy the Recall spell, which I usually set at the entrance of every dungeon I enter.

If you have ever played Daggerfall you know the dungeons are HUGE, they are not like Skyrim "dungeons" that are a straight line with a couple rooms to the side. They are huge, randomly generated, and sprawl forever.

On top of this, the dungeon for some reason had zombies even though I was Level 1. (Daggerfall usually scales enemies to your level so at Level 1 I should be fighting like rats.) So I'm running all over this dungeon, fleeing zombies and searching for the Battlemage I'd been sent to kill, and I get to this room with a big pit in the middle leading down to a lower floor.

"Oh cool, I have the Slowfall spell! Maybe the Battlemage is down there!"

So I float on down and you know what is down there waiting to jump my Level 1 ass?

A LICH.

(He unceremoniously killed me and I reloaded.)

Eventually I did find and kill the Battlemage, but then I had to find my way OUT of the dungeon, which took me several real life hours.

I get back to town and you know what the Knights of the Dragon gave me for completing this quest? A compliment ("Great job!") and nothing else! I am never working for them again!! Mages Guild for life!!

Anyway I sold all the loot I'd gathered in the dungeon and immediately bought the Recall spell, plus Water Breathing, Water Walking, and Levitate.
