Well by killing the speculation he can focus on that job, and they won't be distracted by the prospect of him running.

I think we forget to, he's young he could run in 2020 or 2024.. I wanted him to run because I don't really care for many of the other candidates. Nobody strong enough, also plenty of idiots that run for the sake of running but have no chance of winning. If he accomplishes a lot in the Ways and Means committee that will look really good on his resume if he does run for president in the future.
