for any curious, my deltarune demake is exactly 75% the scale of the original in tile size and 60% scale in pixel size

deltarune has 12 vertical tiles and the gameboy has 9 vertical tiles, so i decided instead of having super big zoomed in rooms at the same tile scale, i would scale every room and sprite to .75 the tile size so they would fit. this has worked pretty well so far! kris's sprite is just under 2 tiles tall in the original game , so in this one they're 1.5 tiles tall

the thing is, the size of a tile on these two platforms is also completely different (20x20 for deltarune/gamemaker, and 16x16 for gameboy color). so the actual resolution scale is actually smaller than just .75

this basically means i can't directly copy any room layout Or art directly, even if i wanted to. i have to be careful about positioning room tiles correctly in ways that won't cause problems with the original's layout, and some rooms will likely require reworks/becoming bigger. it's been a lot of fun so far though and i'd love to keep working on it!
