"Paint A Picture": A scene with conformity and obedience
It feels so warm whenever I think back to that day. Although that day tested my nerves so badly, it ended as worthwhile as it can be.
As one of the facilitators of the game, I'll talk about my experience instead. So sit with me as I write this while fighting my guts from flipping inside out (I'm traveling).
Well, I was one of the emcees together with Shekinah! If I were to share this to the young version of me, she would look at me like I lost my head. She'd flip even more if I tell her I volunteered myself. TO TALK IN FRONT OF PEOPLE?! Yeah... I've gone crazy!!
But I'll tell her how it was so worth it though. And how the experience wasn't as bad as we both thought. My friends were there — as encouraging as ever — so I don't really have that much to fear.
Honestly.. I don't even know why I asked for it myself. I think it was a spur of the moment. I think I got too caught up in the high I got while participating during the previous faci-games. Whatever the reason was, I'm glad I did.
Anyway, during the day proper, it actually didn't went as smoothly as we hoped for. Although we prepared as best as we could before THE DAY, the universe still found a way to stir our nerves up.
*drum rolls* The "speaker" doesn't have a Bluetooth feature. yikes. gg. whatevershallwedo?!
When I say I can see and read each of our minds, it's not a stretch. The stress was evident in our faces. Everyone's mind was turning and working as quickly as it can trying to find a way how to make it work. ><
"Unsaon na lang? Batia magdula way music uy."
"Daghan man ta tab, we could sync the song to play at the same time."
Fortunately though, our worries were for nothing. Because what followed Shekinah's rendezvous with the group kay sila kuya from GSD na gadala sa solution. Turns out the "speaker" we initially thought was the speaker is just the amplifier. Sgisgisgi.
Hayy. Seriously this group.
Mao to. After that hiccup, we were able to proceed like planned ra man pud.
I had fun interacting with the groups as I roamed around asking about their "pictures". Time did flew fast because the next thing I know, I'm already asking group 3 about their experiences from the activity. Kahangak. Kakapoy. Kauhaw. Kainit. Kalingaw.
Despite how physical that activity was though, I went home in high spirits. Satisfied ra ko sa amo facilitation and how it turned out. I'm just hoping the class had fun like I did!
