Hey, Kazama-san! What's your relationship with Miguel? You guys are friends?
â W-What ?! â Upon hearing the question, the girl visibly almost choked on her food; for a few moments, she seemed to freeze, lips agape at the teenager in front of her.  â Everyone calls ya the SCHOOL GOSSIP for a reason, ya know thaâ right?â  WHAT NERVE.Â
â Iâm settlinâ this here and now. AINâT NOTHINâ BETWEEN US. And what youâre going ta do is ta tell the rest of your nosy pack of friends what I jusâ told you, if ya donâ want me to BREAK that pretty little nose of yours!â She needed to kill this rumor once and for all; she didnât need extra people knowing about her crime-fighting exploits and most of all, the man ( whom her family would CERTAINLY disapprove of ) whoâd help her do it.Â
But was he truly nothing to her? Not even friends? She remembered him, the cocky look in his eyes that sheâd always tell him she couldnât stand, his wolfish grin, that annoying way he proudly, ARROGANTLY carried himself.Â
CRIMINAL. JERK. COCKY BASTARD. GOOD-FOR-NOTHING.Â
A friend? She didnât even want to call him that.Â
NOT EVEN FRIENDS.Â
She told herself that repeatedly.
Nothing more.

The Monagesque princess smirks mischievously at her rival. âOh come on!! Why so serious Kazama? Besides, I just want a rematch is all but you keep making this shit harder than it ought to be. PlusâŚ.is it wrong if I am trying to make friends and all?â
â BE FRIENDS WITH YOU ? â She visibly scoffed, narrowing her eyes as she stared to the Monegasque in question. â PLEASE. Why donât I saw a one of my legs off first before I do that ?  â

A long, arduous day at work and a niece past her curfew was enough to wear Larsâ patience thin. With what was going on in the world now, he didnât want Asuka to be out running around so late at night. There had been far too many reports of missing and murdered students because of the escalated violence. While Asuka could take care of herself, Lars felt it was best for her to just avoid that potential situation altogether.
But she of course never listened; she brushed his concern off as being overbearing or strict.
Asuka avoided such a conversation by embellishing her appreciation of the food. Larsâwhile hungryâcontinued to stare until she finally acknowledged his displeasure.
He heaved a defeated and frustrated sigh, finally plucking a few mushrooms and meat out of the pot and into his own bowl, âI donât know what I have to do in order for you to heed my warnings, Asuka,â his brow twitched visibly, âwith the condition your father is in, I was kind enough to let you stay with me, but half the time you donât even listen to meâuntil you get yourself into trouble and need me to bail you out of it. The very trouble I warn you about.â
A pair of chopsticks were set down onto the rest as a series of words started coming up like word vomit. â...I-I swear, Uncle Lars. A couple of SCUMS ran out of an old manâs convenience store with a whole lot of things, that I-I just had to do somethinâ about it ! Chased them all around town too, til they finally decided to PAY UP and return everythinâ. I p-promise that I was only tryinâ to do the right thing. â The raging war did cause crime to escalate in their area, something Asuka would never stand by and leave be.Â
â I knew Iâd be home late, but I didnât really think oâ it like that.I only wanna do my part, Uncle Lars. Â I p-promise I ainât tryinâ to make you mad or upset...â Her shoulders drooped as her form deflated, and suddenly, she didnât feel like eating anymore, no matter how much the bowl of sukiyake beckoned to her from the tabletop.Â
artisxagni:
a  startled  step  back  is  taken.   needless to say she had not been expecting a young Japanese woman to answer the door.   initially,   she had thought perhaps she might have just gotten the address wrong.   however  ;  glancing down briefly at the text message on her phone,   she comes to realize the address had in fact been correct.   this has the petite woman questioning who the girl was.   Lars had never mentioned having any daughters and she looked far too young to be a lover   (               at least she had   HOPED  not               )   to him.   but,   whoever she was,   Valentine could sense a   strong  personality  to her.
lips finally pull into an awkward smile,   shoving her phone back into the front pocket of her purse before allowing that hand to join the other in clutching the stem of her white umbrella.   the young womanâs question then has her hesitant to answer,   really  wanting  to  know  who  she  was  first.
what had started out as a great idea now suddenly felt like a horrible one  ;  surprise visits were never something she did often to begin with.
     â      iâm sorry  .  .  .   i was looking for Lars.   i-is  .  .  .  he around  ?      â
â ...Ah. Youâre lookinâ for my UNCLE LARS. â The girl visibly paused for a moment, the look in her eyes indecipherable, as she attempted to read the woman that stood before her; she seemed like sheâd be nice. But the way that she seemed to take a STEP BACK at the sound of her voice and the way her nimble fingers tightly clutched her umbrella ( as if it was the only thing keeping her from losing balance ) made her slightly uneasy; this woman at their doorstep was no doubt a LAMB, but what do LAMBS have to do with LIONS ?Â
A hesitant, tight-lipped smile was returned.  â He went to the grocery to pick up some stuff. Heâll be back in an hour, I think. He said that heâd be fixinâ somethinâ for dinner tonight, but he jusâ didnât say that weâd be havinâ guests over... â Â
â...You wanna come inside ?â The rain and wind seemed to be getting stronger by the minute, after all.Â
â DAMN IT...â
What laid in front of her was truly a DEVASTATION, as if the universe itself just out-of-the-blue decided to PLOW DOWN her favorite coffee shop. Tables and chairs ( or what was left of them ) strewn everywhere; unconscious, groaning packs of NEIGHBORHOOD DELINQUENTS  that littered the ground that she walked on; and behind the countertop, the elderly proprietor of the establishment, cowering in fear and wondering if heâd make it out of this ordeal alive and in decent health. Asuka pointed her finger at the CULPRIT, the tall, foreigner with a bizarre fashion sense who stood at the door, seemingly admiring his work.Â
â I SWEAR...Japanâs gonna fuckinâ close its doors to you FOREIGNERS again if you all donât learn to FUCKINâ BEHAVE !â
 @bloodydevoir â¤âd for a starter !
