"It's a portion of my forces that I can spare to keep Hana safe. Unless you'd rather pay out of pocket for security?" Lars wasn't taking any chances, "Those who wish to bring her harm will take any opportunity to attack while her guard is down. I plan to stay vigilant even during times of celebration—one of us has to be."

The bridge was silent for an uncomfortable minute, the other soldiers immediately understanding the implications that came along with their commander's tone.

"You'll have to forgive my ignorance regarding your background, but I'll be needing a pretty damn good reason as to why I should trust you with anything of that caliber over my own people."

the  woman's  composure  fractured  into  something  far  more  responsive  as  his  hand  explored  her  body,   possessive  and  deliberate.     a  quiet,   needy  sound  escaped  her  before  she  could  stop  it,   feminine  body  arching  instinctively  into  his  palm.     slender  fingers  curl  into  the  fabric  of  his  shirt,   clutching  him  closer.          ❝     lars…     ❞          name  left  plush  lips  with  an  inviting  whisper  and  breathing  turned  shallow  as  she  felt  his  touch  travel  upward.     head  tilts  to  grant  him  better  access  to  her  neck,   pulse  fluttering  beneath  greedy  mouth.     the  teasing  glint  within  sapphire  depths  dissolve  into  shameless  lust.     the  exorcist's  thighs  then  shift  subtly  as  if  guided  by  instinct  rather  than  thought,   impatient  hands  moving  between  their  bodies  to  unbuckle  his  pants.          ❝     no  holding  back  tonight....     ❞          a  demand,   eyes  heavy - lidded  and  openly  craving.          ❝     i  want  you to make me  come   over  and  over...     ❞

"Well this face and body is here to stay, so I'd say it works in my favour regardless, my love."

Lars smiled humourously against her neck, agreeing over the notion of how they'd be spending the rest of their night. He thought it was more the conversation and proximity to his wife that did the trick, but sure, blame the ribbons.

Along with the many benefits of having Freja, it also meant that he got to spend more time with his lover. Before, it wasn't unusual for them to be apart for long periods of time. Now with a toddler to take care of and Lars' wish to be a constant presence in her life, he was able to spend more time with them both. That also meant more time to fulfill some long overdue needs.

His kisses traveled down her neck and to her right shoulder, where he pulled down the straps of her dress, running his tongue along the newly exposed flesh. Hearing his name on her lips always got his blood stirring, and Rosa was already making quick work of his belt.

The look she gave him told him she wanted everything and more, confirming this in words. Once she got his belt undone, Lars reached down and took hold of her hands, lifting them back up to the sides of her head.

"Be careful what you wish for…"

Releasing her hands, the commander tugged the dress off her slender form. Caressing her thighs, he leaned forward to kiss a trail down her stomach, down to the lacy trim of her intimates.

"I better hear who gave them to you each time, then."

@bravesung reported — there’s hanamaru, wrapping her arms around lars in a tight embrace. ❛ uncle lars, ichigo told me he has asked you to participate in our wedding. he was very nervous to do so, and I really do appreciate that you have said yes. it means so much to us that you would do this, and I also want peach to be a part of my wedding party. I do know that italy tends to claim alot of her time, but if she is able to fly in even the day of, I will be more than grateful. ❜ / I'M NOT CRYING YOU ARE.

Lars was happy to return the embrace. His caution would be ever present, but he had no reason to oppose the wedding. Lars was proud of how far Hanamaru had come; if he could play a role in such an important day for her, he’d make it so.

“It’s an honour Hana. You know she’d always find time for you. That, and she’d never pass up an opportunity to get dressed up.” He laughed lightheartedly.

@krosakis reported — The knots start forming in his stomach the moment he enters the base. Given the role the commander played in Hanamaru’s life, it’s only right he be asked this question. “I’m here to ask you… if you would play the role of a father at mine and your niece’s wedding?”

Lars’ presence on the bridge made him available to most, since he wasn’t busy reviewing mission reports. His stay was often reserved for debriefs, but with the last one concluded for the day, Ichigo had the opportunity to ask him a very important question.

He knew Hanamaru had a wedding planned, even expected to attend. He was honoured that the couple had considered him for such a vital role in the ceremony.

“I’d be honoured,” Lars agreed, “so long as you be good to her, she’s precious to many of us.”

Lars shook his head with some roughness, a good number of the ribbons coming loose, he combed his fingers through his hair to make off with the rest of them.

“Well, every force has a weakness somewhere, but that’s between you and I.”

Children already lacked the self awareness of moderation, having a daughter who inherited his superhuman strength only made it worse. He had woken up with a black eye more times than he could count, and that was just from her jumping on him to play.

Lars laughed softly, nuzzling the edge of her temple and hairline, “That she does.”

The warmth radiated off her skin, scent floral and sweet as she drew in closer. She teased him about the conversation, tempting desire weaved into her words.

“Maybe, maybe not,” hands skirt past the hem of her dress, palming at her curves, “has that ever been a requirement?”

Fingers travel higher up her torso, fondling one of her breasts as his lips left nips and kisses along her neck, “Submissive or not, I never had to do much to get you to open your legs for me.”

❛ ⸻ she  couldn't  suppress   the  giggle  that  slipped  out  from  lars’  choice  of  question,   a  playful  hum  following  while  feigning  deep  contemplation.     eyes  drift  upward  as  though  weighing  a  matter  of  great  importance.          ❝     mm…  maybe,     ❞          she  draws  the  word  out  with  deliberate  tease.     if  anything,   rosa  had  shown  him  far  more  mercy  than  their  daughter  would  have.     the  exorcist  could  already  see  the  chaos  their  toddler  would  wreak,   tiny  hands  tugging  mercilessly  at  his  hair  while  insisting  ribbons  and  bows  sit  in  place.

with  a  light  tap  to his  broad  chest,   she  prompted  the  man  to  sit  upright,   slender  arms  slipping  naturally  around  his  neck.          ❝     you  should’ve  known  you’d  be  outnumbered  the  moment  we  learned  we  were  having  a  girl,     ❞          lips  flash  a  knowing  smile  upon  countenance.          ❝     maybe  you  should  start  asking  for  a  son,   just  to  even  the  odds  ?     ❞          fingers  idly  toyed  with  the  hair  at  his  nape,   the  gesture  affectionate,   possessive.

Despite Freja being in his life for such a short time, he felt as though he had known his little daughter for the whole of it. He had surprised himself by how accustomed he had grown to fatherhood, and how much he enjoyed it. It definitely had its ups and its downs, but each moment was worth it in the end. The girl had softened his gruff character, or so he had been told.

Lars sat up, reaching into his hair to finally inspect her work. There were less ribbons in there than he thought, maybe some of that tugging was meant as a red herring.

“I’m used to being outnumbered,” he gave her lips a kiss, taking advantage of their closeness, “I’m a one man army after all.”

His own arms wrapped around her waist and he settled against her, relishing her warmth. Her next statement has him chuckling quietly with a small shake of his head.

“And have Freja graduate from her stuffed animals to having her own real life ‘subordinate’? The two of them would coordinate terrorizing me.” As though the little girl wasn’t a handful already.

“Besides,” Lars shifted his legs, leaning forward so that she was beneath him, “I don’t ask, I do, just like the first time. If I want to even the odds I will.”
