This series is heavily inspired by east Asian pop idols, specifically Korean pop idols. It sometimes deals in themes such as anxiety, depression, body image/unhealthy relationships with food, and a LOT of online bullying towards idols. We’re striving for realism and making a point.
This is a fictional series that is told through articles, online discourse, and official posts from company pages. Here are the accounts to go to to follow along

The girls chat excitedly, this being the first time they're all together. They introduce themselves and we get a short profile for each girl:
-Ahn Yeseul is the oldest at 23 and is 165 cm tall (5'5"). Kim Jungmi is the second oldest, 23 and is 175 cm tall (5'9").
-Kim Yumi is the third oldest at 22 and is 167 cm tall (5'6"). Cheon Bomi is the fourth oldest at 22 and is 173 cm tall (5'8").
-Park Byeol is the oldest of the maknae line at 21 years old. She is 171 cm tall (5'7").
-Baek Bohyun is the second youngest at 20 years old. She is 167 cm tall (5'6").
-And finally, Lee Huiyeon is the maknae at 18 years old. She is also the shortest at 164 cm tall (5'5")
"Okay! Now that we're acquainted I can give you the good news I just received!"
The girls react in surprised excitement.
"I'm sure you guys were aware of this already, but the seven of us make up the lineup of BLUM's second ever Sims-Pop group!"
The girls cheer, only to be promptly quieted down by Yeseul.
"AND! I have our group name. Everyone has their one- or two- pairs. But all of us fit together like a..."
"Puzzle!"
Bohyun calls out.
"Exactly! Our name isn't puzzle though... that's only part of it. We are... 퍼즐소녀! Or Puzzle Girls! Or PZSN! Whichever you pick, they all fit!"
The girls cheer again and this time Yeseul waits for them to quiet down.
"Jigsaw, our fandom's name... will be expecting us in May which is four months away. We have to start practicing and we have to practice hard. But it's not like Jigsaw are fans of strong, dedicated, and talented women. So lets show them what we're made of!"
Yeseul's speech earns rapturous cheers from the other girls.
"Okay ladies, this is not where we'll be mainly spending out time practicing. This area is meant for light practice sessions or just to brush up on one thing you've been struggling with. Anything more is to be done at the company building. Okay?"
"Okay!"
Cried the girls in response.
"Also, we're going to go through your positions and responsibilities."
"I'll be the leader. Yes I'm here to keep you in line and be the stick-in-the-mud of the group, but I'm also here to build you up and fix any problems. My position in terms of performance is the Lead Vocalist."
"Park Byeol, you are apart of the vocal line. Sub-Vocalist to be exact. You're also apart of our visual line!"
"Kim Yumi, you're also apart of the visual line. Your performance position is Sub-Dancer."
"Kim Jungmi is obviously apart of the rap line, and as of now you're our only rapper. Main Rapper!"
"If there was a main visual position, we all know it'd be Miss Cheon Bomi. However, your official positions are Lead Dancer, Face of the Group, and Visual."
"Lee Huiyeon is our Main Dancer and Maknae!"
"And last but definitely not least, Bohyun has a stacked position list. She will be our Center, Main Vocalist, and Lead Dancer!"
"Another piece of news, one of us knows what our debut song sounds like and the choreography. Baek Bohyun, will you do the honors?"
The girls applaud Bohyun as she moves to the front. She teaches the girls in a montage, the song still not being revealed to the viewers.
"Is everyone okay? Let us practice the B-side choreography a little now."
Says Bohyun, her and Huiyeon the only two not out of breath. Everyone except Park Byeol agree excitedly.
"Park Byeol unnie*, your positioning is off."
"More hips, Park Byeol unnie!"
"A little more enthusiasm Park Byeol unnie."
The only person Bohyun continues to give notes is Park Byeol, and it seems to weigh on her.
But soon the girls all get it down and cheer once they do. A title graphic comes up saying "Next Stage: Recording! See You In May!"
(*Unnie= a term used by girls to refer to an older girls)
Ah yes, of course. I didn't want to say anything before but...
Yeseul comments as the last housemate enters.
"Hello Ms. Ahn Yeseul and viewers! I'm Baek Bohyun! I have been singing and performing since I could walk. I was formerly apart of A-"
"A.B.D! Oh my gosh I knew I recognized you! I mean, when I first saw you when we were training. So you're B? You were the most popular member!"
"To be fair, the line and center distribution was abhorrent."
"And your outfit might be he most unique so far."
"I wanted to encapsulate different aspects of my life and personality. Preppy, academic, but youthful."
"Oh wow! Other members just wore something they usually wear, but you put a lot of thought into yours!"
Baek Bohyun turns toward the camera, speaking directly
"I did not upset the viewers, did I? I hope not, but if I did, I hope you guys keep tuning in and supporting us. I promise I will show you more parts of my personality!~"
"You can tell you've been in the industry for 7 years! So professional."
"Thank you! I was nervous about how I would come off."
"You? Nervous?"
"Then, I will start what I prepared. I will be performing Macaron by our seniors, Ki-Ti."
Despite having no background music, Bohyun's charismatic intro is full of life. It's full of personality but incredibly technical. Every line is beautiful and she's incredibly light on her feet.
When she starts singing, it's explosive. Her vocals are clear as glass and she projects to the back of the room with ease. With her pleasant vibrato and bright, unique tone, the performance is chill inducing.
After she finishes, the room is quiet. The editor turns up the gain so you can hear the extent of the silence. Bohyun is barely breaking a sweat.
Yeseul finally breaks the silence:
"I was 16 when you debuted. Sorry- this is random-"
"Nonsense! Please continue."
Says Bohyun before waiting on bated breath.
"And I thought that you guys were for babies. You know how teenagers are. My younger sister and her friends were obsessed with you guys. My sister wanted to be you, declaring her favorite color as pink and watching anything to do with you. So safe to say I saw you a lot. I remember walking past my sister watching you on our ancient computer and stopping in my tracks. You were unrefined which is expected of someone 13 years old, but something about you gripped me. All I knew at that moment was that 'B needed to keep going because she had something.' Watching you just now made me realize what I saw back then. You were born to be on stage."
The silence returns, cut by Bohyun's quick inhale.
"Thank you."
It's a simple response, but both Yeseul and the viewers feel how loaded it is. Especially with the slight quiver in Bohyun's voice.
Bohyun is taken upstairs to the last remaining bed.
"I'm sorry you get no choice."
"This is excellent, actually. I think I would have chosen this anyway."
"Since you watched their episodes, you can choose between Cheon Bomi and Lee Huiyeon for your pair."
"If one person is not chosen, are they just alone?"
"No, they can join a pair to form a little group. For instance, me and Park Byeol were already discussing having Cheon Bomi join us because we're all introverts and in the same room."
"Perfect. I would like to pair with Lee Huiyeon, then."
"Wow, you answered fast."
Huiyeon is brought into the room and both women bow to each other.
"You are a phenomenal dancer."
Says Bohyun.
"You're great too."
Both women speak in a calm manner.
"I feel like I have a lot I could learn from such a skillful dancer. Do you know Alone by RICA?"
The two then dance together, slowly extracting smiles from the other as they talk through technique. It becomes clear that Bohyun's dance style tailored for pop music while Huiyeon's is more hip hop.
Ahn Yeseul says almost to herself. The woman who walks in also says something to herself so quiet the mic barely picked it up:
"Hm? What was that noise?"
The woman walks over to the fireplace as she was instructed beforehand and stands in silence, as if waiting for something.
"I-I'm sorry I was just stunned."
Yeseul finally breaks the silence and the woman jolts a little before looking around.
"Hm?"
The woman vocalizes softly again.
"Oh! Did you not watch? I'm on the tv."
The woman is scared by Yeseul's voice once again, finally looking at the tv.
"Oh my-! I'm so sorry! Wait... was I supposed to watch?"
The woman speaks to Yeseul directly for the first time, apologizing profusely.
"No! No! It's okay! You technically didn't have to watch, but the other three have."
"Oh my. I'm sorry."
"Don't apologize! It's totally okay. What's your name?"
"Sor- I mean! M-my name is Cheon Bomi."
"Cheon Bomi... even your name is pretty... can I have your autograph? Haha!"
"Hm?"
Cheon Bomi says before tilting her head slightly.
"Oh my gosh... beautiful AND cute? Give me a break."
Yeseul says with incredulity.
"Oh my... thank you..."
"You are going to be an important pillar of the group. Can you pose? This is going to be a valuable frame of this episode."
"Of course! I-I've been practicing so..."
Bomi strikes a simple pose to rapturous applause from Yeseul.
"KYAAAH! ANOTHER!"
"OH MY GOSH! YOU'RE A GODDESS! *ahem* I'm sorry I needed to get that out of my system. Did you have anything prepared, Ms. Bomi?"
"Yes! I prepared a dance. I've been listening to Cool! by FROST since it came out, so I want to do the choreography."
The way Bomi speaks is careful, soft, and formal.
"Ah! Me too! I'm excited. Please, start whenever you're ready."
Bomi performs a clean cover of Cool!'s choreography, nothing amazing but a serviceable performance.
"I love it! If you don't mind me asking, tell me about your look here! I haven't asked yet but it's very simple."
"Yes... I love sweaters and boot cut jeans. I think they look good and are comfortable, but I mainly love it because they don't stand out."
"Stand out? My "i" senses are tingling."
"I-I get a lot of attention, I know you shouldn't say things like that but I try to not stand out as much. It makes me a little uncomfortable."
"Really? You're going to receive a lot more attention now, right?"
"Right, but now I feel like I'll receive attention for something I worked toward instead of something I can't control."
Bomi seems the most confident she's been since she walked in, and maybe a tiny bit sad.
"Wow... you know what? You're right. I'm not on your level but it definitely feels awkward when I get a compliment because... what do you say? Thank you? I didn't do anything, haha."
"Exactly! It feels like I'm being wrongfully praised."
"Aaaand I did that exact thing that makes you and even me uncomfortable, right?"
"D-don't worry about it! I'm just glad to finally talk about it."
"Oh good! I'm glad to hear it. Are you ready to go upstairs?"
"Yes!"
Bomi seems much less tense now.
After Yeseul explains which room is the introvert room and which one is the extrovert one, Bomi easily chooses the former.
"Ah, well! Hello! Now we can meet in person!."
"Oh my... yes, Hello!"
"Hi..."
Says Park Byeol before laughing awkwardly as she enters the room.
"Since you haven't seen, this is Park Byeol. Our room is full!"
The three of them get acquainted, adjusting to the living setting they're going to have for a while.
"Ah before we forget, since you get last pick this is your bed."
Another confident dorm member struts into the house
"Oh my. We already found Yumi's pair."
Says Ahn Yeseul.
"Hey, I'm Kim Jungmi."
Yeseul perks up.
"Oh? Kim Yumi and Kim Jugmi!"
"Hm?"
"Nothing, you're oozing confidence. I'm excited to see what you have in store."
"Cool! I'm a rapper. I'm inspired by our senior of course, Kim Hyeji. I was a huge fan of Ki-Ti, I had a huge poster of Love Beat era Hyeji on my wall."
Despite her cool demeanor, she slowly devolves into fan girling at the mention of Ki-Ti.
"Wow, me too! I feel like most of us auditioned because we were inspired by Ki-Ti growing up."
"Yes! I already loved rap because I loved Young Money, but Hyeji made me believe I could do it."
"That's amazing! So are we going to get a rap performance?"
"Yeah! I'm so pumped!"
Jungmi charismatically performs her own rap, channeling her biggest inspiration but keeping her own charm. Every syllable is clean and skillfully executed. She uses wordplay but even without them, her lyrics are clever.
"Oh... my... god... you're amazing? Where did BLUM find you?"
"Ahaha! Thank you!"
Jungmi perks up at the praise, clearly proud.
"Your hard work is very evident, Ms. Jungmi. I'm excited to work with you!"
"Right back at you!"
"Okay, are you ready to pick your bed?"
"Absolutely. Can I go to sleep right away, too?"
"No!"
Yeseul replies in sarcastic enthusiasm.
"But if you choose to pair with Yumi, you can meet your pair!"
Jungmi thinks for a moment, but only a short one.
"Yea! I don't know how many of us will be extroverts, so I'm going to take my chances!"
"Good! I'll let Yumi know and we'll all meet upstairs."
Upstairs, Yumi picks what is chosen as the "E" bedroom. In there is Yumi who greets Jungmi enthusiastically.
"Oh my gosh! Another E! We were watching you on the tv. We got another Hyeji on our hands!-"
"No, no, no don't say that."
Yumi immediately gets Jungmi flustered, a feat seemingly impossible a few minutes ago.
"HAHA! Look at your face!"
"...! What? Did you expect me not to flustered when you...! Whatever."
"Yeah, whatever. Just accept that you're adorable and move on."
"Cute?! Do you want to die?"
"Wow... their relationship has progressed scarily quick..."
"But Hyeji is my favorite Ki-Ti member too. She's the blueprint for every bias I had from then on, haha."
Says Yumi, letting Jungmi off the hook.
"Seriously! Every member I gravitate toward is always similar to Hyeji is some way."
"That's what I'm saying! Haha."
"You laugh a lot."
Jungmi notes sarcastically.
"You blush a lot."
"...!"
Hyeji is rendered speechless as she proves Yumi right.
"... I'm going to take a picture of this."
"Okay, wait!"
Both Jungmi and Yumi quickly pose, putting aside their bickering immediately.
"Great! Now I need someone to take a picture with me and Byeol- oh what the heck are you guys doing."
"... Anyway... You have to choose your bed now, Jungmi."
"Cool! I wanna be on the top by the window, so this one."
"Sorry, Yumi already-"
"You snooze you lose!"
Yumi triumphs.
"G****** you."
"What?!"
"What?!"
"I'll choose the bottom bunk then."
"So you can still be close to me?"
"Ugh."
Jungmi settles onto her bed only for Yumi to join her.

A new woman enters the house. Sitting in a room is Ahn Yeseul who says:
“Oh my… it’s starting. My first housemate…”
“Oh no! She looks scared! Maybe I should…”
Yeseul turns on her mic.
“Welcome! Come over to the fireplace.”
Yeseul watches the newcomer make her way over to the television through her own television. The new woman looks confused as to where the voice is coming from.
“Over here! The TV!”
The woman finally finds where the voice is coming from and looks embarrassed.
“I’m always like this, I’m sorry. Um, my name is Park Byeol.”
“Hello~ my name is Ahn Yeseul. Are you okay by the way?”
Park Byeol seems to be confused by the question.
“I feel fine… I think?”
“Okay… I was just asking because you looked scared earlier.
“Oh no. I try not to do that but I can’t help it, haha. My mom told me I need to work on not looking sad or scared all the time!”
Yeseul gasps and rests her hands over her heart.
“Me too! Except it’s my dad. I should’ve known better then I guess.”
Both girls laugh, the atmosphere finally becoming more carefree.
“I’m guessing your MBTI has an “i” in it?”
Byeol asks.
“You don’t even have to ask.”
Yeseul laughs. Byeol seems to think for a moment before speaking again.
“Do you ever think you look scared sometimes because you are scared?”
“Definitely. Everything is scary!”
Byeol untenses, her smile growing wider.
“They said I have to pair up with someone I click with, but I was the first, right?”
“Technically I was the first, and you could even pair up with me if you’d like—”
Yeseul winces.
“I feel weird suggesting that, haha. You can always wait to see the other housemates and decide then.”
“No.”
Byeol responds with ease.
“I think we clicked pretty well, didn’t we?”
“Of course! I accept~”
Yeseul assures before reminding Byeol that it’s time to pick a bed. The pair decides to stay in the same room.
“Which one did you pick?”
Yeseul points the lone bed on the right side of room one.
“Smart choice. You’re the only person without a bunk partner.”
Byeol notes humorously.
“Ah-! No, that’s not why I picked it, I swear. I just didn’t want to keep any pairs from bunking with each other.”
“Yeah? Okay.”
Byeol answers, side eyeing Yeseul. They both laugh as Yeseul slaps Byeol’s arm.
“Hmmm, I wanna stay in room one and I’m not a fan of top bunks, so…”
The video fades out as the two converse peacefully.
A woman enters a house, seeming shocked by the interior.
She takes in her surroundings before apologizing:
"Oh my, I'm sorry! I forgot I was being recorded for a second. Hello! My name is Ahn Yeseul."
Yeseul seems hesitant before speaking again.
"Here's my outfit for today. I was told to wear something that is natural and comfortable for me. I wear something like this most days... sorry if it's not great *nervous laugh*. Um, my MBTI is ISTJ."
"I love making connections with people but I personally hate the process to do so. Today with the help of BLÜM Entertainment, I'll be working on that and helping others do the same. I'm a little excited actually."
Her watch dings and alerts her to walk upstairs.
Yeseul does as she's told and seems excited but a bit conflicted about the rooms she's shown. She gasps upon seeing a window that reveals yet another bedroom.
She enters the next one.
"Ah, the other room has one more bed than this one... is it super introverted of me to be drawn to the single bed?"
One last time, her watch dings and tells her she has first pick of the beds.
"Perfect!"
The video ends with her relaxing on the bed with a book, text overlaying on the screen saying:
Tune in every Sunday to see which room each girl picks!
