which means gang-- Phoenix Games and SPS are the same company now.
This is not a disney/pixar situation where pixar makes the movie and disney signs the checks (and even if it WERE, disney and pixar are basically the same company, just two different creative teams that differentiate themselves mostly for branding at this point-- also disney DEFINITELY has it's hands all over pixar basically every step of the way at this point)
Meaning that 1) Sad Panda Studios is by default a pro-ai/ai-using company
They DEF were aware of that when they signed themselves over, cause it's literally the second line of this paragraph!
And before you try to claim ai was a different creature back then-- back then is at the latest 2023 if the date in the first image is anything to go by-- and gen ai began to hit it's first peak in popularity in 2022.
Also, even if it hadn't-- WHICH IT HAD MIND-- it still meant Sps signed themselves over the a company based on shotty tech that even from the start people were calling slop and theft.
ALSO ALSO-- All ai is bad actually! Not just the stuff that steals from artists! :D
Other forms of ai, steal from other people too. Ai, as a creative tool (WHICH IS SOLELY WHAT IS BEING DISGUISED HERE, DO NOT TRY TO DIVERT TO SUBJECT, IT IS VERY CLEAR THIS IS A CONVERSATION ABOUT AI IN CREATIVE SPACES AND CAREERS), is a net negative, and it was viewed as such SINCE THE BEGINNING!
And I'm not even going to go into the rising damage any and all ai is doing to the earth-- but I will mention it here briefly enough to say-- It's bad! :D
Sad Panda is a lazy, cheap, cash grab studio that sold themselves out down morally bankrupt yet super easy path, despite having PLENTY of already established personnel working for them. They do not deserve your continued support-- ESPECIALLY FINANCIAL.
