I only know what Iâve seen on television.

âWell then, youâre a fast learner.â He nodded towards the table âItâs still your turn.â
âYours probably was, then.â
âMaaaaaybeâ
He leaned over to peak inside the fridge, everything looked normal but he did see some alcoholic drinks in there. If he knew better, he would have asked for some beer or something. Though, he doubted that Blythe would give him alcohol. Quickly sitting upwards when Blythe turned to him, Adam took the bottle and leaned back. âIâve never actually had a good image of myself,â he confessed, âEver since my brother and I started growing apart, I felt like I had to be mature and make him believe Iâm not his stupid little brother.â He didnât know exactly where to start still, so he figured he would start with Aaron. âIâve spent most of my teenage years trying to be responsible and following the rules, and being a good kid.â
Blythe interlaced his fingers and rest his hands on his knees waiting for the boy. He listened carefully, as the boy talked he realized that his suspicions were right. A few questions started popping in his head, he pushed them aside to let the boy speak everything he wanted without interruptions. When he boy seemed to be stopping, Blythe licked his lips and cleared his throat âHow many years do you two have apart ?â the age difference might explain everything. The royal lifestyle was something that Blythe was having a bit of trouble to grasp, he tried to place himself on the shoes of the young royals, having been assigned the responsibility of a country since birth and how stress inducing that might be. âWere you two close when you were younger ?âÂ
âPity. I thought we were getting along, Doctor. And button the bloody shirt! Your chest hairs are rather⊠petrifying.â
âDonât be jealous, kid. Youâll have some too someday, when you grow up.â
âItâs not,â She whispered lightly, taking the tissue, giving him a small thank you. Sofie sniffled again, wiping her eyes as she looked at Blythe, heart heavy. âIâm sorry Iâm so awful..â
He sat on the couch across from her, resting his elbows on his knees. âNo really itâs alright.â he reassure her.
âReally? Than whatâs all the empty cups next to you doing there?â
âThose arenât mine. I had company.â
âYou gonna carry me to bed, grandpa?â
âNot really. You look too heavy and I donât want to hurt my back.â
Shame. [She walked to the wite ball and lifted her pool cue, trying her best to aim. Amazingly enough, a yellow stripped ball slowly rolled into the middle pocket opposite of her.] Wow.Â
He watched her strike the white ball and the yellow ball roll into the pocket âNice ! Are you sure you didnât knew how to play ?â
âYeah, Iâd know. But how much did you actually have because I did not believe you for a single second that it was only one.â
âTo be honest, I donât even know. And it would be possible to have just one, if the glass was big.â
She wiped her eyes, dreading the amount of mascara on her hand from rubbing the tears awawy. She could only imagine how much was on her cheeks and around her eyes. She accepted the water and took a few sips, sniffling as she nodded. âThank you.â
Blythe heard her sniff and quickly reached out to the box of tissues he always had nearby. He handed it to her offering a gentle smile. âItâs okay.âÂ
Doctor Jacobs. [She nodded.] Itâs your turn, Doctor.Â
He walked over to the table, he inspected the placement of the balls before taking a shot, a red ball was seemingly heading towards the hole but it ended up hitting one of the edges. âOoh. So close.âÂ
She nodded slightly, lip quivering as she tried not to let out any sound. Crying was already humiliating enough, whimpering was even more so.
â Okay.â He went over to his secret mini-fridge and grabbed an water bottle. He handed it to her âBetter ?âÂ
Everyone be prepared.
Not fair! What happened to no weapons allowed?
âIâm part of the staff. And you didnât do as I said. This is back-up.â
âAw. Would you rather have milk and cookies? You suck, doctor shithead.âÂ
âOh boo, baby needs his nap, getting grumpy already.â
Pleased to meet you, Mister Jacobs. [She walked to the pool table and hit the white ball, watching some of the colored balls scatter.]
âUm. Itâs actually Doctor.â he corrected her.âIâm the psychiatrist.â. He watched her play âIs it my turn ?â
âWell, yeah, you look like you;re having tons of fun.â
âWell I am! It would be shitty if I was in the corner sobbing. Thatâs not what alcohol is for.â
âOne too many? But who am I too judge, itâs not like I donât drink more than I should.â
âWho hasnât? Donât bother answering that I already have the answer. Boring people.â
