Brock - The Crab Who Conned the World

Born one among dozens of Xixo in his little city, Brock was a natural conman. One for confidence over facts he has been continually obsessed with gathering wealth and business power. How fortunate, then, that the easiest way he's found to do this is help save the world!

Not limited by 'facts' and 'laws of physics' such is the force of his wit and tongue. Deals with devils, baseless rituals, and all manner of magical power bend to the suggestions of this crab-man saying "well why shouldn't it work?"

Thinking on the next campaign I want to run after the current one (will certainly be taking a break, as other players in the group want to run their games) and, like, I honestly think the pokemon style of 'fantasy-power-governance' isn't something I've seen in settings but could be good.

Like there being a whole adjacent series of institutions that are supported by the actual governments and academic institutions but aren't strictly tied to them but have the goal of propping up and creating new people who are execptionally skilled at utilising the given Fantasy Stuff of the setting.

Like the pokemon champion is a title and job, but not in the same way as people think, like, a modern government position.

In most games its just The Current Best Trainer and they're clearly funded and have incredible social clout but their job isn't even necessarily to manage the league (in some games) its just to... be really good at pokemon training and travel the region Solving Problems

But its the dark.

Our body knows cold, its evolved to fight it off and, if need be, give up and accept reality.

Grand-heir to his conquering grandfathers legacy, he is haunted by his spirit - leading him across the lands in search of power, adventure, and glory in combat.

His skin turns away sword and fang alike, and sends back a mighty blow just as fierce as any blade.

This is a 3D model of one of the characters in my ICON campaign, to be printed out at a 1:12 scale soon enough! He's a Trogg Colossus.
