I don't like people.
But I do love them.
It's difficult to explain your relation to people when you're an introvert who has to function in an extroverted role for 9 hours a day.
People exhaust me. People frustrate me. I find my guinea pigs more intelligent and logical than most people.
BUT
People are fascinating. People are unique and people are unpredictable.
I love watching people, trying to figure out their stories. I have immediate respect for the guy trying to sell fruit and cans of soda next to the road who has his stand set up at 6am in freezing temperatures, just so he can make more of himself. I celebrate with couples jump-cuddling each other at the airport terminals. I smile with new moms swooning over their babies.
I also think that I would be able to take a bullet for someone younger, more innocent and more deserving of life than me.
BUT
Loving someone or something does not automatically make you LIKE them. There's a difference.
So, in conclusion, just because I'd take a bullet for you, doesn't mean I can stand spending more than 10 minutes with you.
