i deadass saw a post that was like "i want a pretty girl to perform femininity with me and go to the park 💞" or some wack shit but like. h. idk how to explain but it rubs me the wrong way?

yeah i think i get u...its less the actual like obvious intent of the post and more just how it’s been worded......the connotation of the phrase “perform femininity” is typically one of like, frustration with living in an inherently misogynistic society and is typically used in criticisms of misogyny, i think, and it feels weird/dismissive of someone to use it in such as a context as they have in that post

i’ve been thinking about doing it once i hit 60k posts on this blog and i’m like 500 away from that now and also i’ve been feeling really dissatisfied with a lot of things in my life the past several days (its the scorpio season) and trying to figure out things i can implement to fix that and i dont think i could just stop using tumblr as 1) i’d get crazy bored cuz i don’t have a super active life and 2) i do actually like...enjoy the platform, but remaking may help ig? idk i like am gonna do it i’m not sure if i’ll just post the url outright or request people to ask for it yet but we’ll see
