Art fight attack for @leidensygdom !!
I really can and will blame the 9-5 for everything. "We're in a loneliness epidemic" well, we have to spend a third of our day interacting with people in a professional way that makes forming real friendships difficult and then we're peopled out by the time we're done. "People are eating more and more unhealthily" people have to spend more than a third of their day doing work related tasks and they don't want to spend their tiny amount of free time making food. "People aren't involved in their local communities" after spending more than a third of their day doing work related things people are tired and also all those community events take place during normal working hours. "People need to get more hobbies" after spending more than a third of their day working, people are TIRED and don't want to do anything that takes yet more energy. "Literacy is dying" to maintain your critical thinking skills you need to read/watch things that make you think and after spending more than a third of your day doing work related stuff you are TIRED and don't want to expend even more brainnpower. "People need to get outside more" People. Are. TIRED. Because they have to spend all of their time working or preparing for work or recovering from work or doing all the chores they couldn't stay on top of because of work. I can blame fucking anything on having to work, it is truly the root of all fucking evil.

Everyone go look up the song nasa banned from space
Don't forget to play it loud as fuck
please….listen to the whole thing. And imagine that you are IN SPACE in 1973 and you JUST woke up. Every time you adjust…it escalates somehow.
This song had to be designed in a lab for the sole purpose of fucking with astronauts. whoever added it to the NASA playlist was a genius.
It took them two tries to ban it?
Can we ban it from Earth, too?

I love all books but sometimes you read a book and you’re like so were all 21 thousand of you blindfolded and at gun point when you rated it 5 stars

Hey hello! I made a couple of Free to Use HTML codes for Artfight! They're responsive, color-customizable and thoroughly commented to make it easier for folk to edit! The first one (first and third picture), while the second one (second picture and fourtht picture) is much shorter~ You can pick parts from one and put them on the other too!
You can find Long and Wordy here, and here's a live example
You can find Short and Sweet here, and here's a live example
Shares are much appreciated, I got in a coding frenzy and spent an ungodly amount of hours getting these ready!
I just finished using these for my character profiles and I highly recommend!! The code is so soooo easy to play around with, it's laid out so clearly and it made everything so easy and fun to get everything exactly how I wanted it :]
Hello, friends. As a Belfast-based company - and as thinking, feeling people making their lives in this city - we wanted to address the racist violence that has been taking place across NI.
First up, everyone at Monstrous HQ is fine. There was some activity near us but it didn't spread up towards where we actually are. Emotionally, we're… getting through it.
For those of you of a practical bent, here are two charities you can donate to right now who are helping victims of last nights attacks:
The Anaka Collective is directly raising money for those impacted
The Migrant Centre does ongoing work to support migrants in Belfast and across NI
Please donate if you're able, and share if you're not.
The important thing to remember in the wake of this kind of outburst is that these people, whatever they may think, do not represent either this city or this country. They are pathetic, power-hungry losers who will stop at nothing to make themselves feel big.
Belfast of today is almost unrecognisable from the city I moved to 15 years ago. It's become a place where diversity is the norm rather than the exception, and while it still has a ways to go, it's made huge strides in reconciling with its past and building something beautiful for the future.
Since last night, I've seen an outpouring of love and kindness from people who know Belfast is better than this - people who love this wee country and are determined to make it a loving, welcoming home for anyone who finds themselves here. We are the majority, and we will not let racist thugs and bullies pretend otherwise.
the north of ireland has the second highest rate of femicide in all of europe. it was dubbed one of the most unsafe places to be a woman in western europe. 30 women and girls in the north have been victims of femicide since november 2020. none of the people who set belfast on fire last night have ever gotten violent about that or made threats against the perpetrators. they don't care that the family of the victim of the attack this week (stephen ogilvy) have begged for there to be calm and no riots. they don't care that the brother of natasha mcnally called them out as toxic. they're just taking any opportunity they can to be brazenly racist out in the open. they aren't acting out of ignorance, a lack of education, or empathy for victims; they're simply racist. they are adults making a choice to intimidate, destroy, and target marginalised people. they are endangering black and brown families, setting their homes on fire, and destroying buses and public facilities to terrorise communities. black and brown families with young children are seeking refuge in their white neighbours' houses because they're so terrified. what's happening in belfast is a pogrom by the same people who burn effigies of irish people every july. they don't give a shit about victims, they only want an excuse to surveil and threaten black and brown people, who had nothing to do with the horrific incident, and tar them all with the same brush and claim that they're the dangerous ones. call it what it is: RACISM.
the (protestant) christian nationalist ideology that Northern Ireland was established on has not ever gone away and you’re insane if you think these riots are anything other than racist pogroms . throughout the 20th century it was catholics and nationalists and now it’s migrants and ethnic minorities . the white unionist fear of being ‘outbred’ and replaced by whatever group their predatory political leaders pit them against is one that has been around well before now . nevermind that those that claim british heritage in ni famously trace their lineage back to English and Scottish immigrants during the plantations . nevermind that our country is currently being built on the backs of immigrants in every conceivable way . nevermind that the far right in ni has been headed by predators and bigots . and of course never mind that the vast majority of murders and assaults here are committed by white men . ex-leader of the DUP is in court for 18 counts of sexual assault and there’s no calls on the street for justice . Northern Ireland has some of the highest femicide rates in europe but nobody gives a fuck unless there’s an immigrant on the scene who they can use to go on a hateful racist spree of violence. Where’s this outrage when it comes to violence against women, child poverty, lack of access to education, housing, transport… it’s just so fucking frustrating that it’s yet again the most valuable members of our community who are being smoked out of their houses and left homeless . i genuinely dread to think what this will mean for the twelfth this year and onwards .
Heck, if he wanted to do open-heart surgery on me, I’d probably let him.
