Turning over the year's compost today. It looks good but is slowing down with oncoming winter. Any tips on winter composting? We are moving soon so maybe I should stop composting as would-be home buyers may be put off by it. I look forward to the spring and a new garden in our new home. More room and privacy there. I feel sorrow seeing the remnants in my compost of this year's garden and knowing it will be my last here. Change is inevitable but my connection to this place is strong. After a childhood and young adulthood of constant re-location, I have put down roots here, like the plants in my garden and yard.
