god loves losers. god loves the failure to thrive, the wrist checks, the negelcted, the thin, the risky. he is tiered, he is rooting for the least of you. his charmers he lifts from nothingness; his kings turn out fruitless. he loves the fruitlessness. he licks wounds, he's into that. he recalls the forgotten. he's telling his refugees to garden in foreign kingdoms. he's telling his prophets to tie themselves in rope and remain on the ground. this god is the god of losers, lovingly, thrummingly, nostalgic like that
Why Chinnamasta Helps your Rahu by Cutting the Head Off
Before reading my post, I encourage you to get familiar with the concept of Mahavidyas and their ability to soothe specific planets. I also recommend a very interesting ongoing video series that you can find here. While the core information itself can be found simply by googling, it is exposed in a very meaningful way.
In this post however, we will talk strictly about why praying to Chinnamasta is soothing for Rahu.
In order to really understand this phenomenon, I recommend getting to know someone with a very strong Rahu in their chart, especially someone with Rahu afflicting their Moon. While Rahu is very much a necessary force in human life, it can easily go out of control and wreak havoc where it should bring progress.
Rahu ruins our lives in one simple way - by taking things too far. Rahu is fast by nature and has a talent for extrapolating. It is this part of our psyche that tries to protect us by imagining a worst case scenario in order to prevent it. However, when directly affecting one's mind, it brings upon difficult results of constant overthinking, compulsion, or even mental illness.
Let's say your Rahu has a fear of death. An out of control Rahu will immediately start running fantastical scary scenarios of your untimely demise, none of which will actually happen.
The reason for such a result is the fundamental nature of Rahu and Ketu - while Ketu is the instinctive body without a head to see where one's instincts will lead them, Rahu is the voracious head with no foundation that constantly consumes and produces thoughts, many of them with no basis. As a result, Rahu suffers very much from what we can call and "inflated head". A Rahu afflicted mind can waste years worrying about what is not real while it misses the truth right under its nose.
Chinnamasta helps us in one simple way - it cuts off the illusory thoughts and provides balance. After all, there is nothing to do with useless compulsions, that don't bring us any benefit but to get rid of them. A Rahu remedied through such means can at least attempt to do something productive - take action in order to learn continuously to the point of achieving mastery instead of wasting one's time on anxious thoughts.
Chinnamasta teaches us, that even when you embark on a journey to the unknown, worrying about it uselessly brings you absolutely nothing and it is only going into the field and "sampling" the novelty that can really teach you things with time and experience. The best way to overcome fear and anxiety that Rahu can bring is to take some sort of action, even if you won't get it right the first time, because the best way for any subject to get less scary is not just thinking about it theoretically but actually getting familiar with it.
What I am about to say may be a little graphic but whenever I meditate I imagine Kali Ma cutting my head (beheading me) and I saw it as a way of cutting Rahu or my fear (I have Rahu/Moon conjunction in the 12th house in Cancer)
