jack watched you, from his spot at the bed, as you rushed around the hotel room, gathering everything you needed, "calm down."
you stopped and turned around so fast he was almost concerned, "jack, don't ever tell me to calm down." you glared, then went back to running around like a chicken without a head.
eventually, you got your bearings and found everything you needed. you got your shoes on and waited for him to do the same. you got all your stuff loaded in the car.
jack turned on the radio because of how silent it was, "i'm sorry for shouting at you."
"sorry for telling you to calm down. wasn't my finest moment." he winced.
"yeah, that wasn't your best." you laughed, "i'm just really nervous. what if they don't like me?"
jack looked between you and the road, "i promise you they're gonna love you. i told them all about you."
"that isn't helping. i practically bully you."
jack smiled, "no, you don't. and even if you did bully me, i would only tell them the good things you did." you rolled your eyes.
"that helped a little," you muttered.
"good." jack smiled, reaching over and grabbing your hand, and placing a kiss on it, "you're gonna be great. they're gonna love you because i love you."
you looked over at him, shocked by his declaration, "yeah, i do." he nodded, "and don't feel pressured to say it back, because that's the last thing i want to do is to pressure y-"
"i love you, too." you cut him off, "and this isn't me feeling pressured, this is coming from my heart. i mean it."
he smiled, looking proud of himself as you drove down the highway towards his family home. you smiled, squeezing his hand as you.
