Hey guys this isn't a good thing! Manatee numbers are still declining- the reason they were declassified from being endangered was some Trump era bullshit when some changes were made to how animals qualify as endangered. When they were downlisted to threatened, they suffered some of the worst population loss in recent history due to watercraft deaths (SOURCE).
