Food & Camera Gear Behind the Scenes Food Photo Video Shoot at a Montreal Studio

I used my Panasonic GH4 camera and my Panasonic 12-35 f2.8 and my Panasonic 25mm f1.4 lenses film this behind the scenes at a food photo video shoot in a studio in Montreal Canada. We had chefs, food stylist, photographers and cinematographers, assistants and spectators all in the studio and it was a great day.

Time Lapse Digging Out During Record Snow Storm Ottawa Canada

All the weather forecasters said it was going to be a big snow storm but it turned out to be a bigger and crazier snow storm than anyone expected. I decided to start digging out before the snow storm ended and filmed it as a time lapse video on my GoPro Hero 4 Black and my Nikon D750 with my Nikkor  AF-S 24-70 f2.8 lens.

Nikon D750 Time Lapse - Food Photo Video Shoot in a Montreal Studio

If your going to make one time lapse video of a food photo shoot in a Montreal studio you might as well make two. The last time lapse of this food photo shoot was filmed with a GoPro Hero 4 Black camera, this time lapse was filmed with the Nikon D750 camera. Both the time lapse modes on the Nikon D750 and the GoPro Hero 4 Black were set to take a photo every two seconds. The food photo shoot was a lot of work but also a lot of fun and hopefully this time lapse video shows that.

GoPro Time Lapse - Food Photo Video Shoot in a Montreal Studio

With so much happening during a food photography / video shoot the potential for a fun time lapse video is pretty high and so it was when my food photographer friend asked me and a few other friends to help him with a food photography and video shoot. There were a whole bunch of us in this great studio space in Montreal, photographers, stylists, chefs and assistants all working together with my GoPro camera clicking away in time lapse mode capturing it all and compressing it into a fun time lapse video. 

Sorry I have to admit that I can’t remember if I this time lapse was filmed with my GoPro Hero 4 Black or my GoPro Hero 2.

GoPro Hero 4 Black Time Lapse - Road Trip to Montreal Canada

Time lapse videos are always fun to make especially with my GoPro Hero 4 Black camera. The excuse for this time lapse video was a road trip to Montreal, so I hopped into my friends car and stuck my GoPro Suction cup to the windshield and set my GoPro Hero 4 Black to time lapse mode and we hit the road.

Panasonic Lumix GH4 Camera Body Unboxing

Panasonic Lumix GH4 is the flagship camera of the Panasonic line up. The video capabilities, including 4k video direct to an SD card, make the Panasonic GH4 mirrorless camera a video powerhouse for the money. For me, this light weight, compact video monster was just too temping, so another Panasonic GH4 camera was sold and another Panasonic GH4 camera unboxing video had to be made :-)
