The irony of having hypovolemic POTS and being a largha seal selkie is when I go for walks during the warmer spring and summer months and having to stop, sit for a while, cool down, and rest before I walk more is wild because as a seal, why am I on land and moving my body for miles when it’s over 75 degrees outside

When it’s cooler, or when I’m feeling more energetic I can walk for miles with relatively few breaks

And then if I’m in water, I can swim for hours and miles (even if the water is 50 degrees) - having semi insulated gear helps, but my body just does NOT tolerate heat and never has for as long as I can remember

I wonder if there’s any other seals out there who find this relatable 🦭
