1. How does your character think of their father? What do they hate and love about him? What influence - literal or imagined - did the father have?

Gladys has really deep issues with all the father figures in her life. Often at times, rooted with Floren specifically, her value and self worth fizzled out completely with how rigorously strict and harsh his standards were to her. Her love hate relationship him is really unhealthy and almost borderline emotionally abusive. But when there is genuine moment of affection and praise as a father and daughter, it can bring her to tears. Her familial affection to all her father figures is super seeking for praise and attention at all times.

12. How does their education and intelligence – or lack thereof - reflect in their speech pattern, vocabulary, and pronunciations?

Gladys is extremely educated; she went to the University of North Florida and participated in one semester at Jacksonville University since it was way to expensive to go there for a full A.A, much less a B.A. But in the end, the education and degrees never took away from her way of speaking. She can switch to a very polite way of speaking when needed and can even use complicated terms within her field. Otherwise, when she doesn’t need it, she don’t flaunt it.

Contemptuous is a strong word…but it is also the right word. With a bit of vengeful and sharp tongued on the side.

She’s definitely capable of breaking the fourth wall on herself. Her strengths can be her faults, and vice versa. Over all it’s the short tempered singleton mentality from her childhood to adulthood that made her become the way she is today.

Gladys has gone through multiple jobs due to her anger problems, and had to take a lot of anger management classes to calm down completely. At the moment, she has a full time Quigley House worker who helps domestically abused women and men as well as men. Her part time job is a non profit Sunday School teacher at SunCoast Church.

She’s either full out urbana fuck wit me, bitch or too tired to put cute shit on so I wear either a bulldog or gators hoodie with shorts. An example, Gladys on her good days wears a cleavage showing bustier with a leopard print silk shawl and high wasted shorts with spartan tied up sandals. On her off days it’s just daisy dukes with neon green flip flops and well, you know the deal. (if she feels frisky it’s a jags one.)

Gladys is extremely aggressive, very angry and likes fighting everyone who rubs her the wrong way. She’s crass, a simpleton but can be courageous when needed.
