“Lord, give me the wisdom to know what I can change and the peace to trust You with what I cannot, discernment to see the difference and grace to accept both.
I waste so much energy trying to change what's beyond my control, exhausting myself attempting to fix what only You can fix, fighting battles that were never mine to win.
Teach me to recognize what's actually within my power to change, my own choices, my responses, my attitudes, my actions, and to focus my effort there instead of everywhere.
Wisdom to know what I can change means honest assessment of my limitations, acknowledging that some things are simply beyond my ability to fix, control, or alter no matter how hard I try.
Help me release what I cannot change without guilt or shame, to stop feeling responsible for outcomes I can't control, to surrender to You what only You can handle.
Remind me that peace comes from trusting You with what I cannot change, that letting go isn't giving up but giving over, transferring responsibility from my inadequate hands to Your capable ones.
Give me both wisdom and peace, discernment to know the difference and grace to live in it, changing what I should and releasing what I can't.
Let me walk today with wisdom to know what I can change and peace to trust You with what I cannot, focusing my energy wisely and resting in Your control. In Jesus' name, Amen.”
