It was just another day at the rink. Training had died down considerably for the day and Georgi had been chatting it up before his cellphone rang. Fishing it out of his pocket, he glanced at the caller ID and his smile was all-telling. He had at last casted Anya and his heartbreak aside (for the most part) and had a new woman in his life by the name of Sofia. They had met back in Barcelona. She had just been a fan of his, asking for an autograph, but the two had got to talking and Georgi had been blown away by both her beauty and her intellect, so they had exchanged numbers and the rest was history.
“Добрый день, принцесса.” he answered the call, adoration dripping from every syllable.
He had told himself that this time, he would take things slow, that he would make sure she really was the girl for him before getting so painfully invested. But this was Georgi. He always fell hard and he always fell fast. It was just his nature. But she wasn’t like Anya. She was kinder, more soft-spoken. She knew of his past relationship with Anya and had given him the time he needed to sort through his feelings and work through them. She had been there through the process and she still helped him every day.
He was love-stricken already.
And of course it helped that she liked to call first. Before, Georgi would call Anya every day to check in with her, to ask her about her day. Sofia, though, met him halfway on everything. She was truly something else. The short phone conversation consisted of Russian and jumbled Spanish, as they were teaching each other their native tongues.
“I’ll talk to you later, красивая. Have a good day, my love.”
Upon hanging up, he took notice of a certain blond skater by his side, eyeing him with an unreadable expression. Georgi matched this expression, cocking a brow.
Yuri never bothers to invest in the lives of others; simply because he didn’t care for gossip and two he didn’t care for anyone that level of passion for wanting to know everything. No instead he focuses mostly on skating career; that was… until he meant Otabek for the first time. Being thrown into the world he wasn’t quite familiar with, Yuri had more than his fair share to stop, breath and collect himself before continuing. There was a lot of new things Yuri had to relearn when he became friends with the young skater, one being his own emotions. As the blonde wasn’t used to caring for another aside himself and his grandfather…
But again Otabek prove that a little difficult for him;
“So finally move on?” it was not really a question but more of a statement, and in a way, he was glad that the older man was finally moving on from his previous fail relationship. As it was easier, sadly enough, to deal with a happy Georgi than a sad one. The happier man meant he was easier to talk to, and believe it or not the older man had a lot of good advice to give. More than Viktor at times. Perhaps being in the shadows of a legend had made him… more human?
“I won’t talk unless you want me to,” he stated, not knowing if anyone else aside him knew about this turn of events. Again, Yuri was not known for being gossip. He will leave that to Mila and the rest. “But you should watch who might be listening.” the wall have ears… Yuri is well aware of them given he is always afraid of having conversations nearby with Otabek that could be misinterpreted. The last thing the blonde wants is for everyone to know of his current relationship status with him… if there was even one. Hard to tell when it came to Otabek.
He was always so silent…
But at least he liked kissing Yuri back!
