Andi tilted her head, then glanced at the more “secure” seating arrangement. She rolled her eyes, but nodded. “Yeah no prob. Take my stuff, too? And I’ll go order.”

“Yeah no problem! ” He nodded as he grabbed her stuff and headed over to a new seat. Getting more comfortable with his back to a wall now.

She returned a short time later with three beers. Andi slid into the seat across from Carlos, and set two beers in front of him. “Order’s on its way. I know you can’t talk about work, but I hope I’m not about to lose another cute shirt to wolfing out.”

He nodded, and ducked through the hole in the wall, the edges still slick with the ectoplasm remains of the creature he had shoved through it.

“Why were you here?” He asked.

Andi did her best to avoid the goopy ectoplasm. Sure, it disappeared, but it also just felt... wrong. She kept her eyes open as they moved. If she had to shift she’d really miss these clothes.

“Good question! I’m guessing it’s because of who my boyfriend is, but I don’t really know. No one wants to answer the questions of their prisoner.”

Andi’s eyes sparkled and she smirked. “You’re gonna give me a bad reputation by proxy, man.”

She waited for him to sit before asking, “Can I grab you a drink or food? I haven’t gotten anything but a beer yet.”

“Sure thing. Much appreciated” he said. “But can we maybe trade seats to somewhere a little more…” He gestured to the table in the corner.

Her eyes lit up as he walked, well, sauntered, through the door. Carlos was a good looking guy, if just a little too macho. Andi didn’t mind, usually. Once he settled down and got to know you, Carlos was genuine. She waved him over to her booth, and closed her magazine.
