i ♡ terrifying accidents in star trek. scary things are scarier when theyre not on purpose. my favourite ones are of course the transporter malfunction from the motion picture and the one that happens in ds9's "the ship" to the dominion veseel, when whatever-that-happens to the inner ship's gravity/inertial dampeners causes everybody in it to die instantly because they slam against the wall when the ship goes to warp. exept for the founder who somehow lives through the initial wall slam. that's fucked up. we don't get a body close up there but everyone on there should be flat as hell. anyway send me more examples of accidents from star trek when people die gruesomely and pointlessly i think tng had some but i don't remember

i do find it hilarious the way they interconnect star trek. the next generation begins with old man bones passing the torch to the - heh - next generation :) then the deep space nine pilot examines the ramifications of the borg battle and we see how it changed and traumatised sisko. meanwhile in vogayer the tie-in is *checks notes* quark tries to pull a silly little scam

one of the funniest things tos did was be sooooo inconsistent with spock's strength, which ended up making some non-vulcans Way More Powerful than they should be or, hilariously, just made spock super useless sometimes. he's got a headache he's sleepy he doesn't wanna use his strength and you can't make him, even if it kills him his friends and the entire ship he's gonna ineffectually struggle with someone canonically way weaker than him and that's that, he's not in the mood okay!!! he wants to be in the lab bickering with mccoy!!!!

The thing about Spock being hot is that he isn't framed like he's supposed to be. Yknow? Like the cinematography and the way other characters interact with him doesn't typically imply you the viewer are meant to desire him carnally. So it can be easy to forget for a moment until it just kind of suddenly hits you. And "wait Spock's hot" is perhaps one of the least original thoughts one can have but nevertheless I'm kind of continuously having this revelation

Personally love the Idea that most of star trek is reconstructed from personal logs. Because it plugs all the plot holes and explains a bunch of stuff like "why does the ferengi characterisation vary so wildly?" Humans are bigots

"why do the trills change appearance between tng and ds9?" Mistake in the logs

"why arent garak and Bashir fucking?" They are, garak keeps deleting if from the logs
