here, I will harbor the majority of my lore musings and blogging for my flight rising clan while I set up an official forum via flight rising for my characters and their lore. (which is still a work in progress and apparently becoming my magnum opus).

from poems, lore notes, dabblings, to full written pieces/chapters, anything and everything in-between will be here. I may also compose small lore blurbs for my dragons, similar to their profiles so one might get to know the core characters and dragons of my lair.

narada, common form ❖ the deity of desert storms

lore notes. khartal's (narada's praying-mantis companion) wings, when fidgeted, act as his name implies: as a musical instrument thats clicking sounds carry like thunder across the desert plains…both a mesmerizing and terrifying sound. narada himself is sometimes (when in a good mood), seen playing zithers and lutes, plucking notes that, it is said, create strikes of lightning with each pluck. narada's favorite form is half beast, half 'man,' his more bestial head attached to a furred, but bipedal form featuring two sets of arms and one pair of legs that end in more bestial toes. he is said to wear loose vests and harem pants with his favorite rope jewelry hanging from his neck and bands around his arms. it is rare to see narada in his fully humanoid form because the last time he ever approached anyone in such a way was as a lover, who later deceived and betrayed the storm god. he thus considers this form cursed and ill-suited for a man such as he who was never meant to offer anything but contempt and suffering. a.n. ↠ I'd love to draw narada in his half-beastial form playing some lutes... ;u; it's all I have ever wanted since his conception... art credit ❖ commissioned art of narada by jouska28 on flight rising [ dnu ]

“They call me mermaid, they speak of me of the sea; oh how sweetly they call me, teach of me, as though they did not make me daughter of the sea; for now I am bride of eaeor, an example made sacrifice, meant to teach a lesson to the pious and pestilent alike. But I will lie no longer. Beware, beware I will hear them cry— beware...of me.” Muirgen was a blushing bride sacrificed to an eldritch sea demon on her wedding day said to appease his unending appetite. A song was made in her name, as daughter of the sea, a bride turned mermaid to dance amongst the moon-kissed waves, the townsfolk unknowing of the unwilling sacrifice made as they dance and sing of the bride of the sea. It is said that if a bride hears a siren song on their wedding night it is Muirgen foretelling an unfortunate end to befall them. But her call has grown unending in the night as uncanny, globulous glowing orange eyes have begun to watch from beneath the unsettled brine…

deep in the drenched woods of eaeor a beast howls, sea-mist curls from peeled, rotting lips, and hollow eyes sway through the torrent of rain like wil'o'wisps lighting a path to death...sharp, yellowing teeth offer an unsettling grin as a sacrifice is chosen to calm its blood-craved hunt; and for a season omikhle returns to its shallow grave...wisps and whispers as it awaits the next harvest to reap its withered crop. a.n. ↠ omikhle is not yet a dragon made in my lair, though he is currently attached to saewiht in his 'familiar' form.

ae, goat form ❖ the goddess of goats & false light

Ae's most seemingly innocent form lies in that of a wild goat of soft cream, golden hooves, and inexplicably six horns (perhaps seeming to the average person as a genetic mutation). This form seems to hold the least amount of power for Ae, but is the easiest form to appear around mortals without announcing her presence or alerting them to her enormous power output.

Instead, this form seems to be perfect for observation and appearing to her followers as a warning or blessing. Which it remains may be a question that goes unanswered...
