what's this i hear about a zombie herder techno au? the one where bedrock bros see zombies as animals rather than deadly threats? is techno disguising himself + tommy as zombies or are one/both of them in between human and zombie? how do phil + wilbur react to the bedrock bros? just, like, their everything about them bc i am CURIOUS!!! 👀

FIRSTLY HERES THE FIC OF THAT AU might make a sequel to it ngl i have a lot of ideas about that au that would be fun to flesh out and the oneshot has Potential

Secondly but yes basically zombie apocalypse au where techno learns how to herd zombies through blending in with the horde and then strategically making enough sound to steer said zombies where he wants them. Hes human he does disguise himself as a zombie and he travels with the horde as a safety thing because most survivors immediately turn the other way at the sight of too many zombies so like. Big wins for the introverts of the apocalypse

The fic is where techno picks tommy up. He sees tommy in trouble and helps out and then sees tommy in trouble again and is like “alright might as well” and proceeds to storm a survivor base in order to get him. By sending an entire horde of zombies.

I like to think that in the aftermath, Tommy learns from techno how to exist with the zombie horde and like after weeks of coexistence he ends up getting Techno’s mindset about the zombies of which he sees them as like. Animals, more or less. They can be avoided, they can be led, they can be used. Techno doesn’t fear the horde he makes use of it. He doesn’t fear them automatically because he knows how to work around them, and knows how to swat them off and distract them enough to get out of danger.

And so additionally, phil and wilbur’s reaction to bedrockbros’ way of living would be to think that they’re Insane because WHO in their right mind would think that the safest place to be in the zombie apocalypse would be in the spot surrounded by zombies??? Phil probably somewhat considers Techno’s strategy as something useful but also sees the risk as too high whereas Wilbur just outright thinks its a suicidal method of trying to go about the apocalypse. Tommy by this point has become very used to zombies and has even somewhat learnt how to herd them like techno so he insists that it’s a decent way of living and a decent form of protection against bandits and other hostile survivors.

Additionally additionally wilbur and phil meet tommy and Techno because of techno getting a leg injury of some sort so techno cant manage to stay with the horde and tommy is forced to find them safety which lands them (by accident) in the same spot where sandduo is trying to wait out a horde outside. And in throughout their first days of bonding tommy is so incredibly protective of techno to the point where he is like “GIVE your medicine and GIVE him your food or im going to OPEN your front door while youre sleeping and let the entire horde EAT YOU ALIVE.” (Hes so dead serious too he will bring those zombies IN)

Techno eventually tells him to chill. Also tommy eventually warms up to Phil and Wilbur so its chill. Phil and Wilbur also eventually get pulled into learning how to move with the horde in order to get out of the city so. Everyone in da zombie horde lets goooo
