Oh! A student! One of the bigger, older students though! How exciting!
“Y-Yes, I do! I’m a fourth grader at Hitani Elementary!” she sounds so proud of herself, likely because she was only a transfer student. She would do her new school proud.
“It’s the best school, I love it! Do...you love your school too?”

“Your ponytail is really nice too! It’s so big and silky looking!”
Kimiko’s hand reached back to skim across her own updo. This child was so polite and sweet – a blessing, really. If she was like any other bratty child, Kimiko would have left her be.

‘Darling’! Only her Mama and Nanny called her that! It was so refreshing to hear from someone else!
She bows, a bit awkwardly, but is smiling nonetheless. Such a pretty and polite lady! She wanted to be just like that when she grew up!
“Are you...um...what do you do?” ah, her Japanese still isn’t the best. What was this lady? A grown-up? Maybe a model?

“Yay!” Bijou is quick to switch from clinging on his arm to openly embracing him. Not-unicorns were even nicer than unicorns!

“D-Do you really mean it!?” she’s so excited now, clasping onto his arm tightly.
“Can...Can I really, really come and meet the princess some day? I can see your castle? A-And all the other things?!”
Cool rocks? Well...she liked rocks. They were cool, sure! What a strange question...
“A-Actually, my papa says my name means ‘jewel’! So-!”
‘Miss Ribbon’, hehe. It made her sound so fancy and grown-up! She couldn’t wait to tell her friends about the not-unicorn king and how he called her a princess.
“Do you really think so? Am I anything like your princess?” she loved princesses! Maybe she really was one? Monsieur Lydia would know!
Ah, but...she was always told to be formal...it was rude to just call someone by their name...and he was a king! It was probably super rude!! Extra rude!!!
Her thoughts stopped rushing at the compliment though, which caused her to laugh a little.
“I-I’m not a princess! But, my name is Bijou Leblanc! Ah, but, my friends call me Ribbon! You may call me whatever you like, Monsieur Lydia!”

Regardless of not being able to do any of what she hoped for, things just kept getting better and better. In fact, she couldn’t help but gasp at the last bit.
“You’re married?! To a real life princess?! J-Just like in the stories!! Ah- you said...you even go to the stories!! Wow...-!”
“That’s amazing, Mr. Kirin King!”
A unicorn? With more horns?! That’s incredible! Unheard of! Any shyness and fear she once showed is gone now.
“Incroyable! A-Are you magic too? Can you grant wishes? Can you fly? Are you better than the one-horn unicorns?!”

She knows its rude to stare but…is that man in a costume? Is he from a play? He looks like a unicorn!
Who the heck is this kid? She’s just…staring at him. Is there something on his face? Is she lost? Might as well find out before this gets too weird.
“Uh… hey there, kid! Can I help you with somethin’?”
Oh no, he noticed! She’s an embarrassed mess now, just trying her best to look anywhere that wasn’t at him.
She’s not supposed to talk to strangers...but did that count unicorn strangers? Weren’t they magical and kind?
“H-Hello, Uni- I-I MEAN...are you...are you, perhaps, maybe, a-a unicorn...?”
