BONOBOS SPRING 2016 COLLECTION: A GLIMPSE OF WHAT'S TO COME
Fall may be in the air, but on October 29th at the Gramercy Hotel, spring was definitely on our minds. Bonobos hosted a small preview of what's ahead for spring 2016, showcasing a few of the collection's highlights. As for inspiration, here's what our own VP of Design, Dwight Fenton, had to say about it:
The inspiration for our Spring '16 collection stemmed from an early 2015 trip to Tangier and Marrakesh. While in Tangier we visited Villa Mabrouka, Yves Saint Laurent's home, it was easy to see why he felt so drawn to it and was so influenced by the culture. Inspiration oozes from every corner of the city. While the collection is not a literal translation of Moroccan style, its effects can be seen in subtle cues around the edges of the assortment; in the tile and geo prints, in the bold colors and in the use of textured fabrications like linens and slub cottons. Yes, spring is still a long ways away, but stay tuned. Good things are on their way.

AUTUMN CAME EARLY TO THE L.E.S., AND WE STAYED OUT LATE . . . ALLEGEDLY.
Fall may still be a few seasons away, but some autumnal electricity was definitely in the air last Tuesday at the Ludlow Hotel, as Bonobos offered a select group of editors, writers, and gents about town a preview of the upcoming Fall '15 Collection. Bites came courtesy of the LES bistro Dirty French (the Boudain sausage arancini was effing spectacular), and the full line of denim, chinos, suits, and blazers was served up to a soundtrack provided by the Mattson 2. And while we can neither confirm nor deny such scuttlebutt, rumor has it that some attendees kept the festivities going into the wee hours down the street at Cake Shop. We wouldn't know—we ate our vegetables, finished our homework, and definitely did not challenge any models to a one-armed push-up contest beside the bar. Nope. No way.
OFF THE SHELF: A SNEAK PEEK AT THE UPCOMING FALL COLLECTION
Inspiration often begins with a good book, but seldom so literally as in the case of our upcoming Fall ‘15 Collection. Inspired by a trip to The Last Book Store in LA, where miles of rare tomes co-mingle on the shelves in a kaleidoscope of vibrant jewel-tones and more traditional earth-tones, our VP of Design, Dwight Fenton, set out to explore a similar philosophy of color. Plum, emerald, and teal are matched with more staid fall tones like camel, navy and grey to create an aesthetic of “Rehabilitated Grit.” Signature pieces like an emerald green tuxedo with satin trim, Italian corduroy trousers in plum, Donegal crew neck sweaters, and a jogger pant from our new NoMad line, match with classics like American-made denim and tailored wool blazers to help define a fresh and functional aesthetic.
So stay tuned—these styles will be available at Bonobos Fall '15. And yes, they’re definitely worth the wait.
