Spoiler free review of The Amazing Digital Circus: The Last Act.

I was personally very satisfied with the story that @gooseworx / glitch productions told and the way that they told it.

I'm sure that there will be many varying opinions out and about. That's what happens when good storytelling challenges what we’re used to (story structures, character archetypes, character arcs etc). Overall, walking out of that cinema, I felt very humbled & human, and that has definitely been a recurring theme through the show’s writings, so I think that The Last Act gracefully held up its core motifs.

I’d love to talk about more specific critiques and analysis once the film is more publicly accessible to folks. It’s not perfect, I was confused at times about some narrative threads, but I really genuinely enjoyed the experience and would absolutely watch the series through again.

If you’re trying to avoid spoilers and haven’t blocked tags already, I recommend that you do. People will be chatting details in no time, since, like all episodes, The Last Act is ripe with conversation points. I do believe that the film leaves certain themes open ended deliberately so fans can continue doing what fans do best. Having fun interpreting the subject matter.

Also, if you're lucky enough to catch it in cinema, remember not to talk spoilers on your way out! Many screenings are back to back, which means your screening's end may be someone else's start.

It lowered its mask as I did my own. In its miss-matched eyes I was beginning to understand the weight of my lost years.

Its right eye was human. The part of it I could most relate to. In watching it, I felt my mind wander through my own life's memories, which seemed so different now. The creature had been honest with me in a way that left both it and me raw and open like exposed clams. I did not know if we were stranded, there, wherever it was we were now with our souls cracked open. I'd never feared birds before... But it was here. It was not pouncing and it did not seem afraid, so neither was I. I moved to stare into its left eye, which was of a stained glass nature and I found myself wondering all the things I'd yet to be... tomorrow...

"Believe in what you feel and cannot see.... And kill your ego. It's not such a terrible thing. Kid, die as many times as you need, and be born as many times as you want. It's bigger than all of us anyway."

I didn't know what to say in return, but I cried more on that night than any night before.

I realised that the world would hate me more now than ever it had before...

But I no longer felt alone...

Some time that night it closed my shell for me. I wish I'd thanked it. The world is, after all, full of birds.

I mean... yeah. He wouldn't be able to necessarily stand upright without a pelvis to anchor him. People born without pelvises have a hard time staying upright in their mobility chairs, because all their guts are just getting squished.

That looks like a "normal" amount of ribs to me. At least compared to Chase.
