Love your backrooms art ^^ What are your thoughts on Clark from the Backrooms? I would say he’s great NPD coded representation in my opinion, and I honestly felt bad for his character in the end. Clark is a nicely written character, but, opinions? >_<

Clark was my absolute favorite. he was such a good take on narcissistic tendencies and how they made the backrooms kinda reflect on how he thought was SO freaking cool.

he reminded me a lot of one of my other favorite nacissistic characters

Why I think Cuphead made the deal with the devil. 

Context: 

During the flash back from Mugman within the first chapter (October 5 for the date). We can see their childhood home in complete disarray because no one is there to help. When we look deeper into the background, we can see draft paper with Elder Kettles signature and behind that is the new paper calling him a ‘war hero’ using the info we have now that was most likely from the first war and this new draft paper was for the second war as shown in image 1. When trying to put together a timeline for how long the twins have been alone, we can look at the home, and the pet fish is starting to decompose. It takes around 2-3 weeks for a fish of that size to decompose meaning around a month has passed. We can guess they have started to ration food and what other supplies they have.  

With the context out of the way, here’s what we know we they are young maybe round 9-10 with the only graduation they know gone possible killed in the line of battle. Not only that, but we can see have no other means of support outside of Elder Kettle.

 I think it be within reason for Cuphead to feel responsible for his bother not only because he is the older twin (by around three mins), but because he would know what life had out for them being. I say this because while Mugman was at school, Cuphead had the whole day to himself. He was hardly home during that time, so I can see Cuphead being exposed to more adult topics and a rougher side of life that he wasn’t ready for. I can see Cuphead feeling responsible and helpless at the same time. Cuphead is going out to try and find a way to support his brother and make things better and stumbling across the Devil’s casino with the idea of getting some form of cash doesn’t seem unreasonable for a young child. From here I think the deal followed the same pattern just for a different reason.

I loooove the new myth update so much! But something I did take note is the change in bendys eyes and how they tie into his past and character so far.

In this image we can see them go pure white with obvious black outlines. Another instance we see this is in the flash back. Which we can see here is distressed.

Another time would be when on the train when he lies to the others although in that they not only take a whole new shape but color, which I may or may not get into later.

I know it is to express emotions such as anger and distress from what we’ve seen so far we also see this in other toons. This happens when expressing complex emotions or thoughts towards others or themselves.

What I want to focus on is image 1, because in this image when he is talking about his past it shows how angry and hurt he is to his past, but when questioned about it later on it seems as if he ‘forgot’ or his brain spaced that conversation out possibly hinting that his memories isn’t what it seems to be.

Boris even questioned bendy on his memory bring up a third person whom, we as the readers don’t know yet. Why would bendy have such memory issues if it not only happened to him BUT Boris as well. I am aware there is a more context that follows after this about a separate event we have no idea on, but how could one person get branding. A form of humiliation and torture so casually mixed up? As shown in images 3 & 4

Now my thoughts on the matter!

it may be due to sub-pressing trauma. This happens when a person who’s experience trauma the brain will sub-press it to cause as little harm as possible. If so could that also be effecting his memory of his and dandy’s fall out? Since what we’re reading is hinting at bendy having some type of memory issues it could be possible that his brain re-wrote what happened to him and dandy. Ether to make it less painful or to make him believe it wasn’t his fault. Which is why when dandy and him met after all these years bendy is hostile towards dandy even blaming saying how little he changed.

Which would explain a lot of things moving forward for not just bendy but even Mugman once we begin to learn more in their pasts.

So about a week or so ago i posted my headcanons on Tord and his family, and how I believe he had a hypermasc older brother that he would follow everywhere and look to for inspiration on everything

Well my style wouldn't do him justice so @flygutzz drew him!!

Meet Borge N. Shields! Tord's asshole older brother that he looks up to!

(In the 1st image the guys wanted to see if Tord could hang out but unforch, Borge answered the door)

Borge had his friend group (as stated in the post i made) and Tord tags along bc the gang think its funny that their Leader's annoying younger brother keeps following him and embarrassing Borge.

They don't have a great relationship, Tord is desperate for Borge's approval and Borge just wants his younger brother to stop embarrassing him infront of the guys.

Eventually later, Borge mellows out and just becomes a hunter in a Cabin in the woods, and kinda regrets everything when Tord becomes the Red Leader. Even the name implies he had something to do with why he turned out like that. Oh well. Not like he can go back in time and fix everything.
