Legendary Lotus! do take this piece of a fic and tell me ur thoughts on it

Wet clothes, drenched fur, ink machine piece in hand, a friendly face finally appearing after a near-death battle with a giant siren, it was obvious that they needed to find a place to clean up. Luckily, they weren't far from the isles.

Soon, the gang arrived to the nearest and only motel in the area. The motel was definitely old but wasn't that much of a shabby establishment. They were fortunate enough that it wasn't a popular one too meaning they'll get their own separate rooms since there were several empty rooms.

While the others were in their rooms cleaning themselves up, Boris was in his, hunched over at the front of his door. His mind recalling back to the start of the fight, when Boris first saw the siren. Only in stories had he heard of sirens taking the appearance of one's desire. Boris had thought it was only myth. He didn't expect for the siren to turn into...

Cuphead.

This is for anyone who wants to learn how to draw!

I don’t have any specific recommendations for learning how to draw. I would watch tutorials and draw from references books. Signed up for art club and classes. I learn different types of art forms to see what works for me.

Ceramics, woodworking, acrylic paints, ink, charcoal, watercolors, digital art, photography

Carry a small sketchbook and draw what’s you see

Draw your favorite drink in front of you or objects like chairs, tables, buildings, the weird looking light that’s hanging way too low where your head bump into

Draw the people around you! Are they tall? Short? Skinny? Curvy? Buff? Have a lot of piercings? Tattoos? Dyed hair? No hair? What made them caught your eye?

Draw the little things people don’t normally notice. A little plant growing from the sidewalk, a random button, a bottle cap, a pidgin, a bug, a weed, fruit that fell on the ground outside

As for writing? I like to write but I don’t think I can call myself a “writer”. But I answered a question similar to this here so I hope this helps a bit

But most importantly is time, patience, and so much practice. If it doesn’t look what you want the first time then try again. If you’re stuck then take a step back and look at a different perspective.

And have fun creating!

Just something that happened recently in the Myth Of The Machine server as the update was happening, some of us need to be wary of the misogyny and hate that happens daily in the community towards the female characters, especially Shelly.

"GUYS. GUYS WE NEED TO KILL HER SHE IS 30. SHES 30. SHES 30. SHES 30. SHE IS 30."

"She is a whole 30 years old in not a life or death moment to me dude"

"ITS BAD. IM GONNA KILL THAT SHELL. I FUCKING HATE HER RN"

There's nothing I feel I need to point out here that I and two of my friends haven't already pointed out in the screenshots, but we need to pay closer attention to this issue in the community as a whole, I feel disappointed to see people treat the female characters this way simply because they are women or older than the main male characters.

oh my god i have to talk about this because yes i have some thoughts

I find it so hard to HAVE any female or female adjacent characters in any sort of story we have simply because of the internal biases that happen within others.

I'm glad that this is being pointed out as we haven't been oblivious to the obvious biases against our female characters SPECIFICALLY.

After the whole debacle with Jessica and Pomni being stars and people being mad we "replaced" felix with shelly (not true we just wrote a different story) we've been seeing far more of an issue regarding the treatment of the female cast.

Fly and I said at the very beginning over and over that the characters are going to do and say things that you don't like, and its up to you to form your own opinions about the characters, Yet these folks are right; NONE of them have been getting the same treatment as Shelly.

Yes she is 30, as Bendy is 29.

Yes she did violate bendy's personal space, as the cup brothers are HIRED HITMEN who have killed.

Yes she did put someone to sleep, as Mickey has put a cigar burn on felix's chest.

All of these characters are doing things that aren't good nor are we trying to portray them as good.

I'm not saying you HAVE to like Shelly, in fact as far as we've seen, she hasn't made a good impression on the others, but you have to at least admit that there is a PROMINENT issue of fans NOT EVEN LETTING HER HAVE A CHANCE to be a character before making an assumption.

There were already shelly haters before she even APPEARED. C'mon guys.

All in all, don't attack anyone for not liking a character, BUT!!! Don't turn a blind eye to the very clear biases that happen within fandom, because i've seen it, you've seen it, and it only harms others.

Lets all do better together gang!!

Small little extra headcanon of mine -

Clinking is, according to what I have read (correct me if wrong), something that represents trust and affection. I like to think that Elder Kettle created this little morning routine with them where as they gathered to eat breakfast they would all "clink" before continuing with their day (maybe doing it at night too before going to sleep)

Mugman and Cuphead kept this routine as a way to hold on to a memory of Elder Kettle and what will likely become a tradition to them learnt from an Elder.

I'm thinking of drawing interactions of each brother Clinking with Bendy, Boris, and Shelly.
