This is a tournament to decide which adaptation of a book(/etc.) adapted its source material in the worst way. Every poll has links to the tags with the relevant propaganda (meaning, it has links to the posts explaining why the two contestants are bad adaptations). I am hopping on the tournament bandwagon to bring you the alloaro swag tournament! There are a lot of great Aro/Aro-coded characters who are aroace but I think the characters with alloaro swag deserve some love too!!!

We're here to decide who the best book siblings are
We all know the drill by now, but just to be clear, here are the rules:
They can be two or more siblings
Adopted siblings are allowed (of course), but they have to be actual siblings, not childhood best friends who say they're like siblings to each other, or anything like that (eg Kell and Rhy from A Darker Shade of Magic are eligible, but not Kaz and Jesper from Six of Crows, even though Kaz calls Jesper by his brother's name at some point)
You can submit as many siblings as you want, but only once for each!
By "best", I don't mean the ones who work best together or the ones who get along the best, they can be an absolute mess if you want, this is just a popularity contest
I tend to have a pretty good tolerance for rude things in the tags, so I might not realize if people are being actively harmful: if you see anyone being awful in the tags, please send me an ask or a DM and I'll block them

Adapting a work from one medium to another is hard, and fans are impossible to please, but occasionally, you get the adaptation that do the OG justice, perhaps even elevates it. We voted for what we hate at @book-was-better and @booktomoviebrawl, now we find the adaptions we love.
What Qualifies?
For the purpose of this tournament an adaptation is...
A work which transfers a piece of art from one medium to another.
Any medium counts as long as it's different from the OG (Stageplay to movie, yes! A new production of an existing stageplay, no!)
An adaptation must have the same protagonist(s) and share major plot points with the OG. There can be changes from the original but it should not be a spin-off. (Eg. Inteview With The Vampire TV series is still an adaptation but The Clone Wars is a spin-off.)
Examples
Book to TV, book to video game, light novel to anime, video game to anime, musical to movie, book to musical, book to radio drama (when it makes changes in content) etc.
Note: Since there are so many manga to anime adaptions that are basically 1:1, please only submit manga to anime adaptions if there's significant changes in content/style. Making up new endings would count as significant changes.

You'll notice there are already 8 characters on the bracket, these characters are Taranza, Daroach, Bandana Dee, King Dedede, Shadow Kirby, Dark Meta Knight, Marx, and Magolor! There's no need to submit these characters since they're automatically in ^-^
Those of you who haven't been around for Season 1 or Season 2 may be confused about why Kirby and Meta Knight aren't here, and the answer is that Kirby won Season 1, and Meta Knight won Season 2, so they will be left out of Season 3 to give others a chance at winning!
Qualifications for submissions
The characters you submit must:
Be a Kirby character, no OCs allowed!
Show signs of sentience! (ex: While Whispy Woods is a tree, he has definitely shown signs of sentience and emotions! Therefore, you can submit Whispy Woods here!)
Not have already been denied entry from Season 1 and Season 2 (you can check if a character has been denied by looking in the #poll character: denied! tag!)
Be submitted using the google form found below! If you try to submit a character using the askbox, it will be ignored and deleted!
Rules for Submissions
Do not submit Kirby or Meta Knight, since Kirby won Season 1 and Meta Knight won Season 2!
Do not submit the characters already in the bracket (Taranza, Daroach, Bandana Dee, King Dedede, Shadow Kirby, Dark Meta Knight, Marx, and Magolor!)
You can submit multiple characters, but please don't submit the same character multiple times!
Characters from the anime, novels, and manga are allowed! However, manga, novel, and anime versions of already existing characters (specifically characters that we already have a large understanding of from the games, like Kirby, Marx, Magolor, Meta Knight, etc.) will not be allowed! Manga characters that play small roles in the games will be allowed!
Only a total of 64 characters will be allowed in the bracket, and 8 slots have already been filled, so only 56 characters will be making it onto the bracket!
Certain characters can be submitted together! (For example (but not limited to): Adeleine and Ribbon, Tiff and Tuff/Fumu and Bun, Lololo and Lalala, and the Mage Sisters!)
Kirby villains/monsters are allowed!
Even if a character has enough votes to qualify, they may be turned down from the tournament! The mod will make a public announcement for the character, and explain why.

The number of submissions needed for a character to be safely on the bracket will depend on the number of submissions this gets, but it'll be somewhere along the lines of 3-6 submissions!

Was your favorite book turned into an absolutely god awful movie?
If so, you may be entitled to emotional compensation! In this tournament, the worst adaptions will duke it out to determine which is, actually, The Absolute Worst.
Qualifications:
Must be an adaptation of a book. If I allowed things like comic books, the entire mcu would be submitted
It doesn't actually have to be a bad movie-- take How To Train Your Dragon, for example. It's a great movie! I love it! I would even say that it's my favorite movie! It's not a good adaption, though. Very different from the books (or at least, the two that I read)
It doesn't have to be a movie-- if a book got adapted into a really shitty show, then that would be allowed in
Rules:
Be civil. It is a silly tumblr tournament. If you absolutely must, then beat down the adaption of your fave, rather than beating down the original, or you know, REAL ACTUAL PEOPLE.
Propaganda is allowed and encouraged, both during the voting and submission periods

What's better than a character whose sole job is to protect someone else, even at the expense of themselves. Here we're going to let all the bodyguards battle it out!
Rules
Character MUST be a bodyguard. This can be in title OR if they are either employed to guard someone or do so on their own for a significant amount of time

If a character has been a ghost for a while in canon, they still count and can be submitted. So they don't need to be a ghost anymore, but still enough for that time to leave an impact on the fandom. If they were revived at some point, I don't mind

before you submit a character, let’s establish some other things you should know:
Obligatory reminder not to submit HP or DSMP characters.
Weak-ass characters encouraged because it would be funny, although it won’t be exclusive to them
Real people are allowed if my friends and I think it’s funny
Before you submit a real person, I recommend sending an ask so you can know if they are approved and so other people can submit them if they so choose.
Fictional characters need three submissions to get in, real (approved) people need six.
If the character you submit has a signature weapon, sadly, that weapon won’t be included. Because we’re having these characters fistfight exclusively.
Characters submitted can’t have super-strength. If a professional weight-lifter irl can’t do what the character you plan on submitting can, that’s a sign that your character probably won’t get in.
Characters don’t have to just win by strength. They can also win if you think that their strategy is better than an opponent’s and that they can outsmart them, then they can definitely beat them that way. Have fun imagining these characters beat each other up.
Don’t submit a character multiple times. Feel free to submit as many characters as you want besides that.

We all know about the Olympians -- boring! We don't need to argue about who's the best there. No. What we need is to uncover the best god who's more spotlight-shy, a little less known. It's time for a god fight!
Rules:
1: Gotta be Greek. There's a lot of cross-pollination in Mediterranean religions but if I can't find a source that points to Achaean worship and you don't provide one, they're not allowed.
2: None of the major gods (Zeus, Hera, Demeter, Poseidon, Hestia, Hades, Ares, Aphrodite, Athena, Hephaestus, Artemis, Apollo), obviously. Dionysus possibly permitted because he was submitted the first go-around but I will give him a very difficult first match if he gets in.
3: Mortals-turned-gods only allowed if there's significant basis in them being gods beyond isolated hero cults. Heracles yes Achilles no basically.
4: Nymphs are allowed depending on who they are, monsters need to be the child of two gods to count.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
They must have the color purple as a core part of their design! I will not take characters with only a sliver of purple. As a rule of thumb, let's say your character must have around 20-40% of their design be purple at least.
No real people. However, I will include 1 real animal. If there are no submissions for any, this will default to the Pelagia noctiluca jellyfish.
Characters with more submissions are more likely to get in, but I will also lean towards submissions with more effort put into them.
No fandoms are excluded by default, but I do reserve the right to reject anything that makes me uncomfortable.
In terms of propaganda, I accept it in reblogs and asks. I will create masterposts with propaganda for characters that will be updated frequently. Anti-propaganda is allowed, but only in a lighthearted way. Be respectful.
