Me: I'm almost done this book.
Me: Well, I guess I could always start one of other books I own and have not read yet.
Me: *goes to the book store and buys 5 new books*
“Buying books is immensely comforting. Maybe I won’t read them immediately, but they make me feel so much better whenever I’m sad and blue. Just their presence, it’s like having more to look forward to.”
I’ve only read #1 and am currently reading #3, so this is a good list! Plus it’s a mix of contemporary and classics.
Every woman should read The Awakening. It’s like the original How To Be a Badass Independent Beezy Manual. And it’s beautifully written, and it’s really short! Like 90 pages.
When I’m done reading Gone Girl you can read my review on my Goodreads.
What was it that Cara said yesterday? Red Hood and the Outlaws would be better if they took away the outlaws. There’s nothing really good or bad to say about #0 though. Background story la di da. No rant from me today about this. Nope. Just OMG ALL THE RED.
SO MANY JOKER FEELS
Seriously.
My good friend Cara (who is the one who corrupted me into comic/superhero stuff in the first place) gave me an early birthday present today. So as soon as I got home I had to read the whole thing and freak out over the awesome art and awesome story. Cara hasn't read it yet apparently. She needs to. And so do you if you haven't already.
Go get it now.
I was supposed to read this for school. And then I switched classes again and it got set aside. Also not returned to the school because I didn't really return either. Oops.
Anyways, because a bunch of people read it before I did the ending was spoiled. It was still terrible to read though. I must say that the rest of the book is awesome. I used to hate it when I was younger but now...Life of Pi <3
I just picked up where I left off months ago reading it for school. I wanted to read it before seeing the movie (which I haven't done yet) so starting again when I was more than half through seemed...bleh.
So great though. Really. The ending was just so...ughhhh.
Just finished Life of Pi. Will post properly about it tomorrow. someone remind me? ha!
