I have to memorize a lot of things! The last time I memorized for an exam was in 2006! That’s the year I graduated college. 🙃 Sorry for the semi-rant. Time to swallow my pride and post this to help my parent’s out. In short, my dad lost his job back in October of last year. It’s been rough. I’m unable to take them on financially. My dad has yet to find a new job, despite having several inquiries and interviews that generally went nowhere. Now, the money is close to running out and I’m uncertain if we’re going to lose everything: including our house, our belongings and our dogs.

Aka, a life that has been built.

My parent’s have tried to receive disability benefits for my mother, who has a great deal of health issues including a Herniated Disk in her back. She, for one reason or another, does not qualify. We’re not certain if my dad will qualify for unemployment, but we’re trying our best to get by on what we still have.

Until then, I have to ask if anyone is able to at all donate or spread the word on this fundraiser I’ve started to help pay bills and keep food on the table. Please, please consider donating even the smallest amount or spreading this around. This is entirely last resort and a leap of faith on my part, but I promise I’ll pay it forward in the future once things start looking up for my family.

Dreaming, always, of books and bookstores. . This winter has been cold and full of ups and (mostly) downs so far. It’s been a reminder as always of how much books really do hold me up when I am feeling alone or anxious.
