Abigail nodded, still feeling sick to her stomach. “T-thank you.” She turned and entered her room, slipping off her shoes and laying down. The bed welcomed her, comforting the always stressed body. She really needed to find ways to relax.

Bones merely plopped to the ground, rolling on his belly for more rubs. He was used to his owner being so jittery during this time, though he never quite understood why. The mutt growled occasionally at the gawking wolf or vampire, but knew he was safe inside with the man.
As Abigail slept, she broke into a sweat. It was her nightmares again, the ones she never understood. It consisted of endless screams and blood, blood everywhere. She wanted to wake up, escape the dreams but she needed to sleep.

She'd never assist someone before. It couldn't be that hard, and if she'd get answers about her parents, she'd do it.
"Of course! I know this city like the back of my hand." Abigail said, her smile returning. She hoped it didn't seem forced, it wouldn't do to look like a fake. The wolf was only anxious, like she always was in a new place.
Abigail straightened up and looked over at Anette. "I'm sure I can assist you to the best of my abilities."
Abigail followed him, her face pale. “O-Okay.. If you insist.” She walked, her eyes looking everywhere, and nodded.
"I-I’m glad you’re better. I’m glad your head feels b-better." Abigail held her hands, shaking. "I d-don’t know… I feel jittery… I usually don’t, though."

As she closed her eyes, she felt a bit happy. Well, jittery and very anxious, but happy nonetheless. Bones left her side to inspect the outer room, sniffing Jacob and plopping down lazily on his side.

"Well, I'm quite used to being disappointed, so I doubt this news would be much of a shocker to me." Abigail sat down with a small smile.
"No price will stop me from finding out the truth." She patted her coat pocket, letting the jingle of her money confirm it. "Now, Miss Anette, I'd just like a simple answer to ease my mind."
The young woman crossed her arms, gazing out the window at the rain. It was raining cats and dogs - maybe wolves? What a dumb joke, she thought to herself. Couldn't help it with these dumb jokes.
"I'd like to know where my parents are, and what they've been up to these past six years."

Abigail sat her bag and umbrella down, looking around the apartment. It seemed normal, not what she'd thought it was.
"It's not bad trouble, just some things have been bothering me is all." She offered a polite smile. "Coffee would be fine, thank you." She cleaned off her shoes at the doormat, before taking them off and neatly placing them against the wall.

With a sigh of relief, Abigail went up the stairs. She had no idea who, or what, to expect. Only knew that this Anette could give people answers from the spiritual side. And that was all that mattered to her.
As she ascended the stairs, she saw a woman waiting for her at the door. "H-Hello, I'm Abigail Chon." She repeated, nervous. "I need your help."

The young woman sighed in relief at hearing the voice. "I-I'm Abigail Chon. I'd like to speak with you."
Abigail felt anxious and distressed, she felt that all passerby had their eyes on her. She didn't like attention. She wanted to hurry and get inside, away from their prying eyes.
The wolf nervously buzzed again, her anxiety rising. "I-I'm sorry to intrude or p-push you, but I'd like to be out of this rain.."

Abigail Chon walked alone, pulling her jacket and purse closer. She breathed in the scents of those walking around her, feeling uneasy. Too many humans, serpents… Wolves. She preferred the company of her dog, Bones, and books. She was terrible at interacting with others.
But, that didn’t matter. Soon, she’d have answers. She pulled up her umbrella as the LA night began to shower. ‘Damn…’ She didn’t like the rain. It’d always make her smell like a wet dog, er wolf. Not exactly how she wanted to meet someone new.
As she approached the building, she searched for a certain name. When she found it, she pressed a button to signal her, and nervously asked, “I-Is there an Anette Boudreaux here?”

When he mentioned payment, she rememebered that she had hidden money in his coat. She smiled a little before letting her face return to the frightened expression.
It may have been the scent in the air. It was overwhelming, the scent of vampires and wolves. It hurt her head, made her wolf inside angry and excited. She couldn't bear it.
"I just need to sleep it off…"
Abigail stared straight ahead at the door, her hands shaking as she locked them. ‘Lock the door, lock the door, lock the door.’ It was the only way to keep her mind at ease. Her eyes nervously met his and she swallowed.

Let him take guard? With them out there? Those violent beasts, with no regard for others' lives? Abigail continued to stare at the front door, her hands still shaking. He was saying something, but she couldn't quite tell what.
The blood pumping in her seemed to block out his words. She heard a "sense them", "you wolves", "sleep". She couldn't sleep, not now.
"I-I suppose I can sleep for a bit.."
Abigail stared straight ahead at the door, her hands shaking as she locked them. ‘Lock the door, lock the door, lock the door.’ It was the only way to keep her mind at ease. Her eyes nervously met his and she swallowed.
"N-No, it’s just… Just…" she shook as she placed the keys in her pocket.
Abigail rubbed her face and coughed. “S-Something's off, I don't know what it is. I do-don't know, Jacob. I feel sick.. I just don’t want any of them in here. Those vampires, the other wolves..”
Why was she telling him? She shouldn't scare him like that, she had no idea why she was acting this way. Something inside was churning, the wolf was getting antsy and excited. What was wrong with her?
"Please, f-forgive me if I frightened you."
