Truth Seeker > Anette Boudreaux
She'd never assist someone before. It couldn't be that hard, and if she'd get answers about her parents, she'd do it.
"Of course! I know this city like the back of my hand." Abigail said, her smile returning. She hoped it didn't seem forced, it wouldn't do to look like a fake. The wolf was only anxious, like she always was in a new place.
Abigail straightened up and looked over at Anette. "I'm sure I can assist you to the best of my abilities."
Anette smiled "Perfect.."
While showmanship was one of her favorite things to uphold, Anette hadn't really thought about setting up a place where she would both live and have potential clients. But if Abigail was going to help, then this might not be the only visit to Anette's home. No use in worry about it now. "First off, tell me what you can remember about your parents. Any memory at all, good, bad, even if all you knew was their names."

"Well, I'm quite used to being disappointed, so I doubt this news would be much of a shocker to me." Abigail sat down with a small smile.
"No price will stop me from finding out the truth." She patted her coat pocket, letting the jingle of her money confirm it. "Now, Miss Anette, I'd just like a simple answer to ease my mind."
The young woman crossed her arms, gazing out the window at the rain. It was raining cats and dogs - maybe wolves? What a dumb joke, she thought to herself. Couldn't help it with these dumb jokes.
"I'd like to know where my parents are, and what they've been up to these past six years."
The truth was, Anette really didn't need the money. She could pay her rent just fine from the money she saved up from past clients constantly coming in to ask if that one dearly departed family member knew the combination to that 'special' safe, or where they may have hidden something of value. Plus, if her name gets out up here in LA, surely people will come to call eventually. They always do.
"Monetary gain is nice, but not the price I want for the answers to your question." She paused, remembering that she really doesn't know the area or the creatures that the so call 'City of Angels' inhabits. Abigail could be a friend, Anette sensed something driven about her. A determination of sorts. "What I would like from you as a price is your--" she made sure to chose her words carefully, "Assistance.. As you may or may not know, I am new to the area. Where I came from doesn't matter anymore, but where I am going does. I feel I need to know the ins and outs of this city.. That is all I will ask of you."
Mention of lost parents did pique her interest however, shifting in her position she was eager to learn more.

Abigail sat her bag and umbrella down, looking around the apartment. It seemed normal, not what she'd thought it was.
"It's not bad trouble, just some things have been bothering me is all." She offered a polite smile. "Coffee would be fine, thank you." She cleaned off her shoes at the doormat, before taking them off and neatly placing them against the wall.
She nodded, and proceeded to make coffee for her guest. What has been bothering you my dear? Oh-- well, I should say before anything more, answers do come with a price. Not only for me, but depending on the answers you may seek.. Well. You might not like what you find out." Anette paused, she couldn't think of a better way to put it. Most people who come asking for questions leave disheartened, even enraged. Either way, disappointment is usually a factor. She brought the coffee out on a tray with cream and sugar, to the table that sat near the same large window Anette had found herself earlier, calmly sipping at her tea.
The rain outside had not cleared up, but seemed to have fallen even harder than before. Sitting at the table, Anette looked to Abigail.
"Make yourself comfortable, we have a lot to talk about."

With a sigh of relief, Abigail went up the stairs. She had no idea who, or what, to expect. Only knew that this Anette could give people answers from the spiritual side. And that was all that mattered to her.
As she ascended the stairs, she saw a woman waiting for her at the door. "H-Hello, I'm Abigail Chon." She repeated, nervous. "I need your help."
Anette sized her up on the spot, Abigail seemed far from a threat "Hello Abigail, I am Anette, though you already already seem to know my name." she gave Abigail an inviting smile, she didn't want to scare her off so soon. Motioning for the younger girl to come into her modest apartment, she shut the door behind them both until she heard a soft click. "What do you need help with my dear? You seem like a young, well off girl, I do hope you are not in any trouble..." Anette almost forgot her manners from her growing curiosity. "Before we get to it, would you like any refreshments? I don't have much being as I am new here, but I do have tea, or some coffee, which would suit you?"

The young woman sighed in relief at hearing the voice. "I-I'm Abigail Chon. I'd like to speak with you."
Abigail felt anxious and distressed, she felt that all passerby had their eyes on her. She didn't like attention. She wanted to hurry and get inside, away from their prying eyes.
The wolf nervously buzzed again, her anxiety rising. "I-I'm sorry to intrude or p-push you, but I'd like to be out of this rain.."
The young woman sounded friendly, and the rain was unforgiving. Anette buzzed her up without a word. New beginnings in a new place, she had to face the living eventually. Sighing, she mentally prepared herself to put on a strong front, not to intimidate, but to not appear incapable. Confidence is key, right? At least that is what people are told to believe. Anette opened the door, but no one was there yet. She waited with a friendly smile, for this mysterious guest.

Abigail Chon walked alone, pulling her jacket and purse closer. She breathed in the scents of those walking around her, feeling uneasy. Too many humans, serpents… Wolves. She preferred the company of her dog, Bones, and books. She was terrible at interacting with others.
But, that didn’t matter. Soon, she’d have answers. She pulled up her umbrella as the LA night began to shower. ‘Damn…’ She didn’t like the rain. It’d always make her smell like a wet dog, er wolf. Not exactly how she wanted to meet someone new.
As she approached the building, she searched for a certain name. When she found it, she pressed a button to signal her, and nervously asked, “I-Is there an Anette Boudreaux here?”
The rain was calming to Anette. She could watch out the window with her cup of tea and feel at peace. No entities to bother her for answers as to why they have not passed on, it made for a nice quiet day. Just the living surrounded her now, which was a nice change. The spirits of LA have yet to figure out her abilities, making this move from Louisiana seem like the best choice Anette has made in a long while. As she finished her cup of tea, she heard a buzzer, with a voice to follow. Setting the empty cup down by the window, she came up to the speaker box, pushing the button to reply "Who might be asking?" Surely she couldn't have been found this fast, but if it were a ghost left to figure out personal business, they would have just barged in. They always barge in without warning.. This must have been someone living, wether they were a threat or not, she would just have to find out.
