Ok, no infinity war AU, with Peter and Harley acting as big brothers to Morgan.

Morgan is just learning to speak and she often does not identify people correctly. So Peter and Harley break their heads to come up with something easy to teach her. And so...

Tony : *Crawling out of his lab bleary-eyed squinting at the elaborate set up* What in the-

Harley: *Aggressively playing the guitar*

Peter: *Controlling a full on power point*

Together: *On full volume* BABY STARK DO DO DO DODO- BABY STARK DO DO DO-

*as the show her a picture of her self on the power point*

Morgan: *Happy baby noises*

Tony opens his mouth but shuts it as he decides he didn't wanna get involved in what ever the f that was and just walks away.

Pepper later tells him that they made an entire list of people including

Daddy Stark - Tony

Mommy Stark - Pepper

And so on and so forth which is diabolical to Tony.

But he is very pleased that Friday has recorded the whole thing and stores that whole thing in a special folder for future blackmail purposes.

(Did I write this whole thing cause I misspelled Stark as Shark while just randomly searching on Google? Yes, yes I did, now hush)

Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Tells Your Story but it's Morgan Stark trying to remember how her dad was in the kitchen making pancakes with too much blueberries until mum slapped his hand away with an exasperated smile. She tries to remember how his voice sounds, how he used to swing and carry her in his arms, how he used to sneak her poptarts after having her swear she'll brush her teeth again. She giggles knowing daddy will forget it once he sits with her in his lap because every time they wake up on the couch with mummy staring down at them and the empty covers nearby.

The world says he's a genius, that he did the impossible and brought back half the population and died as a saviour.

Morgan knows he did it for her brother. Nobody seems to be interested in that.

Then one day, Morgan is angry. Her dad died for a world that never understood him. They speak sagely about him one day, then as the Merchant of Death the next.

She doesn't know why he laid everything down when he had his family to lose.

She doesn't want a hero. She doesn't want hushed whispers or awed looks. She doesn't want the baggage of being Ironman's daughter.

She wants the man who helped with her first steps in the world to help her with her homework now. She wants him to meet her partner by the door. She wants him to sit with her by the porch at the lakehouse like she sees in the photos.

The world can debate his life all they want.

Morgan only wants her dad back.

This is easily one of the CRAZIEST videos I've ever gotten. I was rafting down a river when a Yellow Jacket came, landed on my bright pink waterproof phone pouch, and started drinking from the water droplets that had gathered there.

The most amazing part is how the water droplet magnifies the Hornet's mouth parts, so you get to see them up-close!!!! It was FASCINATING to witness!

it should go without saying but apparently it needs to be said over and over and over again because every time i hear my mom tease my sister for playing wolfquest, every time i hear a teacher tease a kid for doodling, every time i hear a babysitter laugh at a kid explaining the plot of a show they like, it drives a fuckin stake through my heart because i was that kid once.

i was made fun of enough times by adults, by peers, for liking something and wanting to share it that i just. didn’t. anymore.

dont fucking tease kids for liking things. even if you think its cringe. ESPECIALLY. if you think its cringe. because the way you speak and act towards them when they are sharing themselves with you STICKS and they will think of it years down the line.

BE NICE TO KIDS. BE NICE TO KIDS. LISTEN WHEN THEY SPEAK TO YOU. BE. FUCKING. NICE. TO. KIDS.

I was a substitute teacher for a little while between grad schools, and one day I had a middle school math class for the morning. The work they were assigned wasn’t *especially* hard, and one little girl knocked it out in 20 minutes. She started drawing what was very obviously Sans Undertale, and when I noticed I wanted to be supportive, and had the following exchange:

“What’s that you’re drawing?”

*panicking* “It’s nothing, I’m sorry, I’ll put it away.”

“No it’s okay, I was just curious about it.”

“It’s nothing. I don’t want to get in trouble.”

“You’re not in trouble, I just thought it looked like a character from a video game I like.”

Her face *lit up* the second I gave her the smallest bit of approval. She started asking me if I’d heard of various AUs for Undertale, and I tried to follow along as she explained her favorites. I obviously had to keep an eye on the rest of the class, answering questions and helping with algebra, but each time I passed her desk she had more things to tell me.

Anyway, it was very cute, but also a little sad how obviously starved she was for someone kind to talk about her stories with. Kids deserve to have someone in their corner, and it takes no effort at all to smile and listen if they have something they want to share. Preserve the earnestness you want to see in the world.
