I miss Western kids. I know that I belong in a title one, at risk school. This is where I'll make the greatest impact; the biggest difference.

But I'm so happy where I am. I have the best admin team. A principal who values and praises me. The best schedule. Wonderful coworkers. I'm challenged professionally. The students (finally) respect and like me. I'm happy. I'm comfortable.

But I know eventually, I will need to go back where I belong. Until then, I will gain as much knowledge and experience as I can that will make me an even better teacher for them. Because "those kids" are MY kids...and they always will be. 👩‍🏫♥️
