Who was I before the world tainted me? In becoming what was wanted of me, who did I forget?

A long time ago I learned not to explain things to people. It misleads them into thinking they’re entitled to know everything I do.
Lisa Kleypas
Sometimes my mind wants to run off towards the promise of more. There seems to be voids within me asking for more. And I remind myself to sit down, breathe and take a moment. I am enough. Right now, I am here and I am enough. My mind resists this in every way it can. My feet tingle, eager to shake, my fingers hunger for something, anything and restlessness tries to hold all of me. I take one deep breath, then two. I look at the floor of my room. It's white with an abstract flowy design set in gold and brown and black. Almost as if cracks had appeared and later been filled with gold. Kintsugi! What a brilliant reminder to stay patient and keep working on what I already have, Me!, even if I am broken, especially since I am broken. I don't need much. Just a bit of hope and that will be my gold.
In an overcrowded bus, I am almost hanging by the stairs
People breath down my neck, I ignore their tired stares
For my mind is busy, trying to run a race against time
Is being lost such an unforgivable crime?
I don't know where I am going, I just know where I get down
If I let go now, will I drown?
People say they call me by my name
I never hear when they do, is it such a shame
To be lost, to be gone, to be somewhere else,
than here in the now?

The days are getting longer.
As much as I love the sun, I want to remember the quiet peace that winter evenings bring every time.
It has taken me so long to notice how winter already comes with the promises that bloom in summer.
🤍
May we rejoice, rest and refill ourselves to the brim, even if it is with the sweet assurances of more that emptiness brings. May we find ourselves in every leaf, every flower, every blue/orange/grey of the sky, every season of the upcoming years.

I looked at my hands today.
For a really long time.
After a really long time.
I know nothing about reading palms but I recognise love when I see it.
I see these turmeric stains and suddenly my hands are my Mom's.
I see these calluses and suddenly my hands are my Dad's.
I cry.
I've been holding so much love in my hands! I've been creating so much love through my hands!
I cry some more.
These hands that are mine now carry legacies that have existed even before I did.
Legacies.
Of sentiments, sacrifice and survival.
Our hands were designed to never be empty....

I'm still in bed. She's already in the kitchen. I don't have to tell her I'm hungry. She knows it before I do. I'm her. She's me. And we're finding each other now. We're building a home together now.

Winter brings silence.
Of the kind that sometimes helps me fall asleep
At most other times,
I'm trying to figure out if I'm hearing a plane running to take off in the distance
Or just my heart choosing to remain loyal to me.
-anne.
P.S: Sometimes the planes lull me to sleep.
“Fall in love and stay in love. Explode. Don’t intellectualize. Get passionate about ideas. Cram your head full of images. Stay in the library. Stay off the internet and all that crap. Read all the great books. Read all the great poetry. See all the great films. Fill your life with metaphors. And then explode.”
— Ray Bradbury • Conversations With Ray Bradbury
There is something in the air again
It whispers my name and beckons me home
The days grow shorter, the nights colder
All foliage gives way to naked truth
In letting go, who do you become?
You go back to being who you truly are.

I honestly think a moment of disappearing is good for humans. go be alone and figure things out within you. to not feel obligated to communicate with anyone. tell everyone brb, respectfully. disconnect from technology. talk to God only and get the advice you need from the best source. grow to know you. search the pain. face things. solitude for growth. a real pause. do nothing but stare at trees all day, or the sky. allow your soul to play. record your thoughts. focus on what you’re putting into your body. connect with nature. be silent for days. make art. a chance to go real deep and heal. figure out what talents God placed within you. just be. focus on breathing only. healthy disappearance.

Destroy their matrix by creating your own.
Put everything into it that makes your inner child feel safe and whole.
Make it the home you always wanted growing up, and then watch as it becomes reality.
