Thank you so much!!! I have been on the strangest binge recently for films like these and I was speaking with someone on YouTube last night. There is a german snow white film from 1992 (natalie minko as snow white, the jester is the prince) and he said there was a sleeping beauty film from this same company. I'm assuming that it is the version from 1990, I believe I found it on your page, but I'm not quite sure. He said the company was "beta films" and I couldn't find any connections on imdb... Think you could help verify this?
Hahaha, I certainly know what you mean with binging fairytale films! :)
I really recommend the Märchenperlen films on the ZDF site that I mentioned in my previous post – e.g. Die Hexenprinzessin from last year is seriously a fantastic feminist fairytale!
And I am glad you mentioned the 1992 Snow White because it’s my favorite live-action Snow White adaptation, but unfortunately, it’s not very well-known...
Info dump: The Snow White 1992 is a Czechoslovakian/German made-for-TV film, directed by Czech director Ludvík Ráža and with unforgettable soundtrack by Petr Hapka (btw...though I seriously don't know what they were thinking when they put an English pop song into ending credits). The cast consists mostly of German actors, Czech actors have only minor roles. Strangely enough, the film is definitely more popular in Germany than in the Czech Republic, where most people aren't even aware that it exists. It hasn't been shown on Czech TV for at least 20 years and we can only dream about it coming out on dvd here....*shrug* Sorry for being slightly off-topic and ranting here, but I am so angry about this film being so neglected in the Czech Republic. It came out on dvd in Germany at least and it's also on YouTube, as you mentioned: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m4ibFzqW1ec.
As for Sleeping Beauty, I’ve seen the 1990 version several times. As with Snow White, this is also a Czechoslovakian/German collaboration. It was directed by a Slovakian director Stanislav Párnický and the cast consists mostly of Slovakian and German actors. Slovakian actress Dana Dinková plays Sleeping Beauty, while Gedeon Burkhard, a German actor, plays the Prince.
It’s on YouTube, divided into 9 parts, with German dub, here is the link to the first part: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HnT7fZ7QdYU
In all honesty, I am not the biggest fan of this take on the tale due to its bit of melodramatic atmosphere and because of the ending (SPOILER AHEAD: she falls asleep for 100 years and the prince who wakes her up is the grandson of the original prince she fell in love with, both are same actor).
If you like Sleeping Beauty, allow me to recommend a Czech adaptation called “How to Wake a Sleeping Beauty” (”Jak se budí princezny”) from 1977. Magdalena has kindly provided it on her google drive with ENG subs. It has more of a comedic tone than the other adaptations, it’s hard for me to determine whether non-Czech people will enjoy it but personally, I love it for its clever dialogues, active hero and heroine and for their top-notch chemistry.
And one more Sleeping Beauty! Well, sort of, Netflix has Three Brothers available with ENG subtitles! https://www.netflix.com/cz-en/title/81191279
Three Brothers is a Czech fairytale film from 2014. It is a bit like Into the Woods, because it basically combines three popular fairytales: Sleeping Beauty, Little Red Riding Hood and Twelve Months, but its mood is the opposite from Into the Woods: Three Brothers is also a musical, but not dark or edgy at all, instead its intended for even the small kids. I can safely recommend it, if you don’t mind plenty of singing, it’s a lovely, fun movie.
Hopefully, I didn’t overwhelm you with info too much :).

After reading All new X Men it is deeply unsurprising to me why Scott gets so attached to the Champions. My boy was having one hell of a year.
straight vs queer ships in shows are always like….omg girl and boy shared a lingering glance once? that must mean they’re in love?…versus i killed my father because he dared lay hands on you. when i was doing it i felt like the divine light of justice and my love for you felt pure and clean and holy because i rid the world of evil in devotion to you.
Who gave him the switch bro
forgive the bad quality i have no clip studio license anymore so i cant save my art 😭
