Another thing that never sat right with me about the whole trilogy was that it was about taking us along Alina's journey, her learning to embrace her power, to wield it, to not let others control it and then in the last chapter where she actually uses her AGENCY and stands up to the Darkling LB goes "Nah sis true freedom is having no power at all."
