What are men to rocks and mountains?

For some reason, you have managed to stumble across my blog. I guess it will only be polite of me to introduce myself, in case you don't know who I am. Okay, so here it goes. My name is Charlotte Rose Atwood, but most people call me Lottie. Others call me the innocent mainstreamer, and if I were to be honest, that is actually quite an accurate alias. I'm 17 years old, and currently a Senior at McKinley High School in Lima, Ohio. As you probably have guessed already, I love reading and writing. But there's more to me than just that, I promise! I like cooking and baking, annoying my three older brothers whenever they're home from college, and talking. Yes, I talk a lot. I apologize in advance for that. Anyway, that's about it I guess. I sure hope that you know that. Well, you are a voice of reason so you might have more concerns. Not untrue. I usually go by the motto: the best of us find happiness in misery to not see the bad side of things. I’m not good at being sick. Yes, I’d rather stay away from the opiates and all that. We’ll see. I might just work at McDonalds and complain about the salary/work ratio. 

It would be quite stupid of me if I didn’t know something like that. True, but I trust your judgement. I like that motto. It’s so easy to focus on the bad things, but good things can come out of them too. It’s a shame that we only realize until it’s too late. Is there anyone who’s good at being sick? Nope, I’m confident you’ll be able to secure a much better job than that. I don’t have anything against McDonald’s employees or anything, but you do deserve better than that.

It’s fine, they kept it under wraps. No one knows, really. Okay, good. For you maybe, I think everyone else would love the idea of the innocent Charlotte getting booked.

I guess that’s kind of better, keeping it under wraps. People at school are too nosy for their own good. Not everyone. My parents and the rest of my family would definitely not be okay with that. My friends wouldn’t love the idea either, because it’s just horrible.

The other week was a night that went wrong and I ended up in hospital so my ‘rents are keeping a tight leash on me for now. Okay, good. It’d be super funny if you got pulled over by the cops. Because you’re just such a good girl.

I’m so sorry to hear that. I didn’t hear anything about it. I would have visited you if I did. But yes, I’ll definitely come over now. I don’t want to get a ticket. Or even worse, get booked. That would be horrible.

And I will not take them lightly, Lady Atwood. That tiny bit of trouble sounds worth it. That sounds like a good compromise I guess. I start to think that you think I’d be great at everything. Which I certainly wouldn’t. Those would be big shoes to fill. That kind of sounds like me.

I know you’re a man of your word, Sir Clarington. If you think so, who am I to tell you otherwise? It’s something you must always find in unexpected situations. Well, I can’t think of many things that you wouldn’t be great at! You’ll have no problems filling them, though. Holmes would have a real challenge to keep up his reputation when you come along. Hmm, that could be you in a few years’ time.

I’d be surprised if you didn’t. What if I laugh but help you up? Will I still be in big trouble?  Indeed. But it’s not the baby’s fault that it’s here so I can’t be too annoyed. I’ll be awaiting you. Exactly. Maybe I should look into jobs in the justice system. 

Such words shall never be taken lightly. Hmm... you’ll still be in trouble. It won’t be big though. Just a teeny tiny bit of trouble. Of course not. You’re still allowed to be grumpy about it, you just can’t be angry or upset with the poor guy. I’ll be there very soon, then. I think you’d be great at it. You could be the next Sherlock Holmes! Or the super hot lawyer from Lima, that would be pretty great too.
