Last year, I befriended a Catholic seminarian. We've gotten to be pretty decent friends. Seeing as he was staying in town for the summer and I wasn't, I entrusted him with caring for my plant.

He did a wonderful job, but as he was returning my plant to my custody, he explained "I watered her every other day, I gave her new dirt, moved her into the sunshine, prayed the rosary-"

"What?"

He looked at me, confused. "Isn't she a plant you pray with?"

"No," I said slowly. "She's a prayer plant. That's the... colloquial name of the plant."

Upon seeing his stricken face, I realized something went wrong. Turns out, this entire time, he's been including my plant in on his prayers and leaving her near icons.

Listen, totally cool. My plant becoming Catholic is a great deal for her not dying over the summer. But now I must navigate this interfaith household. Keep me in your thoughts.

I should also add- I ran into my rabbi and explained the situation. I then asked, earnestly, if there was a remedy. A mikveh of sorts, or a beit din, or something.

He turned to me, sighed, and said in a very deadpan tone-- "Plants don't have covenants, Joy,"

So Dorothea's a free agent according to rabbinic opinion. I guess I'll permit her to be Roman Catholic.

horror / thriller wanteez is fun and all but i kinda want a wanteez arc after all that to just be healing-teez. project pamper the captain or matz. dedicated episodes to how each member perceive their captain or eldest hyungs and they compete with each other to claim title of favourite child by going all out to show their appreciation.

walk with me here, it is not a one day thing where they have a small fixed budget. maybe they get like a week or two to plan it out, they can either tag team or go solo. it can be an experience they curate like bring him some place to unwind or a surprise makeover of his creative space or create a song dedicated to him i don’t know the possibilities are endless

the first suggestion is kind of an offshoot of ateez+ where wooyoung did bring the captain out but there’s many other possibilities. i do realise it’s counter intuitive like if i want the captain to catch a break he should not be working and doing such things on camera is still work.

but this particular squirrel is a chronic over-worker (there’s a better term to this im sure) so the next best option is to force him to go through something healing during his working hours. this is the same man who was concerned about his team health and proposed the endoscopy check up for a wanteez episode so the concept is not new

anyway all i want is for the captain to catch a break, strap him down to a lounge chair if it’s necessary so he doesn’t aggravate his injuries like a freaking fractured rib cage. the fan meets can wait truly, i don’t care if atiny flew in and waited hours outside and you can’t perform for them. if he insists then sit on a stool on stage or something. im sure atiny would understand

I am on the board of a queer organisation and am very involved in the organising of our local Pride, including the security measures we need to protect our Pride from terrorist attacks

from attacks just like the one in Berlin today.

every time I see those security measures, especially at the Pride I'm a part of, I'm reminded of how much the queer community is still hated and I hate it. I hate that we need those measures, I hate that we have to take them to protect ourselves, I hate that we live in a world where a celebration of love and happiness needs those security measures.

I can't even put words into how much this hurts. for something like this to happen to us, to happen in Berlin.
