carol is the second voice in deltarune's opening and i'm correct

i'm calling this organ donor theory because you'll see trust

first of all, and i was shocked to see this, but apparently some people don't believe in second voice theory (the theory that the 'will now be discarded' text is spoken by a different character than gaster), which, like, i'm sorry? we have never seen gaster speak in any other format than uppercase english. even wingdings, while yes looking different, is still just a font of english. the symbols just look weird. anyway

carol is the second voice. here are my pieces of evidence strung together very loosely:

kris and the knight are connected by the soul (istg this theory had a name but i cannot find the video lmao): this theory states that kris and the knight have some connection via kris's soul. i remember this being a big source of speculation in the early post-chapter 2 theorizing community: if we are the player, then where did kris's soul go? while i won't go as far as to say that i believe in third entity theory (yuck), i do believe that it is a valid question. after all, kris had a life before the game, before we possessed them. this is the first crazy logical leap i will go through, and is the base of this theory: somehow, idk how, members of the town decided to 'reanimate' dess (oh this is also going off the basis that dess is the knight) as the knight, using kris's soul. yeah it makes no sense. yes i do not care.

lyrics to the songs: only 2 songs have had lyrics throughout the game, that being 'don't forget' and 'raise up your bat'. a few specific lyrics are interesting: in don't forget, "with the truth, the promise in our hearts" and in raise up your bat, "because i'm with you in the dark, with your heart as my mark". with don't forget, we... still... don't know who sings that, or even if it is a diegetic character in the game, but the themes are important. the thing that stuck out to me from the moment i finished chapter 4 was the 'promise'. when do we hear another mention of a promise, following a direct naming of don't forget? the end of chapter 4!!! 'don't forget kris, you promised.' like how has no one pointed this out! and who is most likely speaking on the phone? carol. but we will get back to that. as for raise up your bat, it's a little easier. that song is implied to be written by, or at least be written in the perspective of, dess. "with your heart as my mark" is pointing to me being right, with kris's soul being with her now.

reanimating dead monsters: the connection to gerson is even looser, but i have to mention it. this is why i believe that even if i'm wrong, the idea of reviving dead lightners in the dark world is a center motive for the roaring group chat, aside from fulfilling the prophecy.

mayor carol holiday: finally, this is who i am implicating. obviously carol has played a part of this, considering she is a part of the pro-prophecy team, but i think her role is deeper. i think her obsession human souls in suspicious. after all, we literally see them in her house, and she has pillows of them near her bedroom. even noelle finds it odd, like she has no idea why. and then, of course, is the legendary dialogue: "as you know, YOU are welcome here at any time." ...i have. genuinely. seen people try to say that she is not referring to the player here. huh. oh yeah. so that's why the development team decided to write it in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS and make it FUCKING RED? THAT'S WHY? anyway, she is clearly referring to the player here, so she knows that we exist. and oddly, that we are welcome.

the actual theory: now that you have seen the evidence, i believe that it is clear what i am trying to say. basically: in an attempt to revive her daughter, carol takes kris's soul and puts it dess's body (i also think it's important to remember that in undertale, when asriel absorbed a human soul, he gained a bunch of power, so i don't think it's a stretch to say this is possible). however, she obviously couldn't just take it from kris, or they would die. so, she found a new soul for them. now, before you ask, how?, i will say that i don't know. however, what i do think is suspicious is how alphys in the church states that the only ones who check out the shelter are carol and undyne. so, considering there's some weird gaster shit going on there, i assume that's how she gained access to the goner maker thing. that's how she chose us, and that's how the events of deltarune are happening!!! another interesting thing: the knight was not a thing before we entered kris's body, considering how we witness the creation of the first fountain, if we believe that ralsei isn't lying or whatever. interesting how this all happens after we come... almost like there was no knight before us arriving... until kris gave their soul away... it also seems like kris regrets this decision, which is sad.

as for the voice in the code? uh... uhhh... idk that could be papyrus or something
