This is a melodrama.
But how is it that you are able to remember me when our worlds flowed differently?
Let’s skip that. I’ve been through a lot myself. But first, this.
Great cinematography from The King: Eternal Monarch
please, like or reblog if you save/use

No matter what kind of a door opens before us in life and even if the moments we share make us sad at times, I wish to be able to love tirelessly. ✨
no matter what kind of door opens before us in life…and even if the moments we share make us sad at times, i wish to be able to love tirelessly. just like that, we decided to love the fate that chose us. just for today and only today. and forever.
The King: Eternal Monarch episode 6
“Today, the only thing you all must have to protect is not your king, but the great sea of our Kingdom.”
Still one of the most cinematic sequences I’ve ever seen on the small screen!
If that door closes, I'll open all the doors in the universe and I'll come to you.
THE KING TAKES HIS QUEEN!
By kdrama standards, this is basically porn.
Lee Gon finally decides to throw all consideration out of the window, because it’s been destroying his love life, and demonstrates to Tae Eul what it means to be DOWNRIGHT SCANDALOUS.
The neck kiss! It’s so unbelievably sensual and you can see the mix of shock and bliss on TE’s face.
I adore the final pause for two reasons. First, the way Lee Gon looks at Tae Eul with aching longing, when his gaze lingers on her lips and then he looks back up right into her eyes, caressing her chin, and you can sense there is this wordless communication going on between them, as if he’s asking her “I want you. Do you want me too?”. He’s giving her the chance to stop and refuse but at this point it’s obvious that she wants him as much as he wants her because there is only longing and anticipation in her eyes. Second, because they don’t talk it really promotes the idea that love is in the eyes.
It’s such a perfect moment for them to make love because they have already done it all - confessing, kissing and only last night they even killed people together - they both are aware that they might never have a forever together but they can have this night which adds the sense of urgency and need to this moment.

I think Lee Gon is confused on what “scandalous” means too, lmao.
Because sometimes he’s like this:
But then he gets all startled at seeing Tae-eul’s collarbone:
LEE GON HAS DONE IT! HE’S JUST BESTED HIS OWN EPIC MATH LOVE CONFESSION! HE CALLS TAE EUL A FUCKING WARRIOR, FOR DRAMA GOD’S SAKE, HIS WARRIOR! He’s basically worshipping the altar of Tae Eul’s awesomeness and badassery!
He might have helped her in the end but only after she saved herself and did everything to get to him. He’s called her beautiful many times but him praising her for her skills and courage, something which comes within her, means so much to her. Her father and her colleagues take her strength and bravery for granted so she doesn’t hear praise from them, but to Lee Gon, she is like a miracle and he never ceases to be in awe of her.
Deep down, Tae Eul is actually insecure that Gon might mistake her doppelganger for her; however, he defeats all of them when he enumerates everything he knows about her because HE DOES KNOW HER, THE REAL HER, maybe even better than she knows herself. He knows the shape of her face to perfection, every hair on her forehead, each trembling smile,… (I think he’s been tactful here, omitting the tiny little detail how she likes to him.)
And then he gets the typical underwhelming reaction from Tae Eul. I love his resigned sigh and look of a man who’s been through this one too many times, yet he keeps soldiering on like a trooper.
Do you even know what “scandalous” means?
