Commission Work, Portrait.
"Falling" in Graphite
Having accepted herself, she takes that leap of faith to be herself and hopes she makes it out okay.
"Power"
Scratch board
Once she embraces her true self, she feels empowered and embraces herself.
"Breaking Free" in Graphite
All the words that kept her from being herself are not of substance and she breaks through them like paper.
"Peer Pressure" in Graphite
Represents her inner transformation to block out people's poisonous words. The other figures aren't shaded to represent that they're not fully developed people, they're just negativity personified.
"Melancholy" in Graphite
The wings represent her desire to give up. The balloons are ironic in that they represent a party, a celebration of life, but that people celebrate her leaving.
"Invisible" in Graphite with Tracing Paper
The girls feels invisible as people ignore her.
"Trapped" in Graphite
Trapped by Life. Unable to escape.
"Control" in Graphite
Society controls the individual. We are products of our environment.
