Hey been following your blog for a while and I remember a long time ago you posted all the brushes you used in fire alpaca do you still use it or have you upgraded since then I know I still use medi bang

I still use the same brushes! I'm ancient now (/j) so I like that I don't have to do anything special when FireAlpaca updates and I can just draw immediately

most of them are default settings; I also tend to do "paint/erase" (press-and-holding Z to use the brush as an eraser and 'chip away' at details then releasing Z to paint as usual) when I'm painting with the Pencil tool if I want sharp edges!

So a free tool called GLAZE has been developed that allows artists to cloak their artwork so it can't be mimicked by AI art tools.

AI art bros are big mad about it.

AI art has been one of the biggest technology disappointments I’ve probably ever seen since beginning my art career, next to NFT’s (which are basically one step beside AI Art).

It could’ve been such a good tool when used properly and with the consent of artists and when used AS A TOOL, but we’re past that point now, and the best thing that can happen to it is hope it’ll be slowly ereased. I’m so glad these new tools like GLAZE are being used, and hope it’ll become even bigger to block out blatent art theft.

February is right around the corner, which means it’s soon time for Funguary 2023! the drawing event where we draw a bunch of mushroom based characters during the month of feb.

Here’s how it works:

Each week of the month will have a theme with seven different prompts, draw something mushroom related within that theme in order to join. The themes are Weird, Mystical, Malicious and Friendly. You don’t have to complete all the prompts, just one mushroom per theme/week is plenty!

If you’re hardcore you can definitely try and finish all the prompts though ;). The challenge intensity is adjustable to what suits you. This is a chill event where the goal is to just have fun and vibe, and honor the fungi kingdom with some really cool art🍄

I invite you all to come draw mushrooms with me! Use the hashtag #Funguary when posting your creations. I’ll be posting some of the creations here, and I’ll also be hanging out in the hashtag and comment sections!
